Low-Key Celebrity Scientologists Stay Low... Say it's a Personal Choice...

There is perhaps no other celebrity as associated with Scientology as Tom Cruise. The 50-year-old was reportedly introduced to the religion by first wife Mimi Rogers (who no longer practices) and has been a strong member of the church ever since, something that has often worked against him in the media. “If I don’t talk about my religion, if I say I’m not discussing it or different humanitarian things I’m working on, they’re like, ‘He’s avoiding it.’ If I do talk about it, it becomes, ‘Oh, he’s proselytizing,’” Cruise told Playboy earlier this year. Reactions like that are probably why many other celeb Scientologists aren't quite as vocal about their involvement with the church.
