As I said, I'm not interested in hearing toney's silly doctrines, which you continue to recite. I'd rather get my salvation directly from God, thank you. If you want to do something for God, get out of that cult and help others get out as well.
I hope that you all find peace,I hope that tony finds peace,I hope that you all make it to heaven,I hope tony makes it to heaven
I know that you D and tony need to repent and get back to what it is all about, you and most of the others on this board are blind trying to lead blind tony into a ditch, you and most others on this board openly admit wanting blind tony to stay in the ditch, mostly because ya'll want company in the ditch.
As I said, I'm not interested in hearing toney's silly doctrines, which you continue to recite. I'd rather get my salvation directly from God, thank you. If you want to do something for God, get out of that cult and help others get out as well.
Why do you claim that the doctrine of God is tony's doctrine
Tony Alamo, convicted by the IRS for tax fraud, spent years in Federal prison, but now lives in Texarkana and the Los Angeles areas alternately. Former followers have reported slave labor, mind control, and that Alamo became a polygamist in the early 90's. The Alamo group operates Arm Full of Help, a tax exempt organization.
Alamo Ministries is on the hate group list of SPLC. They preach a bastardized version of Christianity, with all members pledging allegiance to Tony Alamo, who uses them for slave labor in his "businesses", many of which are illegal. He reportedly physically and sexually abuses many of his members as well. This is a dangerous cult.
Well, i was impressed, not just with the reportage, but also the imagery. This reporter seems on top of his game, and I'm willing to bet he will go far in his profession. I would like to see a part 3 if such is forthcoming!
You know, although I'm not a filmmaker (though the idea has crossed my mind many times over the years) I wonder if a full-length Documentary film project is a feasible idea to tell these stories?
It is when you come up with a statement like this one you did ,
(wow, who filled you in on Hell's guest list?)
Hey skeptik that is a pretty good saying.
It is real nice to get a registration of a statement, and when I get a registration,I get more hope, more for me and more hope for others.
I was a grip hand for sometime, and I have worked on a few t.v.shows,and some majore movies,
you keep talkin that good common sense like that, sign me up.

I know not which side you are on in this debate, but we seem to have a thing in common where the visual arts is concerned.
Let me rephrase the previous post: I am not YET a filmmaker. Yes, I have toyed with the idea of making my own films off and on over the years, and with the success of someone such as Robert "The One Man Film Crew" Rodriguez (who was the director of Frank Miller's Sin City, a grounbreaking film based on a great series of graphic novels; to everybody here on this board, go get your copy of this movie on DVD, it will blow you away), the urge has returned as it has many times before. Being a writer at heart, I'm always to be found with a notepad in hand, jotting out my ideas and stories. But a documentary?
Though I have 2 degrees already, I'm looking to return to the local community college to learn certain video production tasks. There are of course 2 other things I want to study for to become better-rounded in the field. But who knows, I may just make that film!
As for the saying concerning Hell's guest list, well, how was that OC privy to who went to
Heaven or Hell when they died? It wasn't up to him to decide, nor do I believe that the Almighty shared that info with him. So sure, I mildly took him to task for that.
The simplepliss-city of the word of God makes the knowledge of love for another soul so much more compelling.
How about "The cressining of cresent heights" or "Carlos avenue,The birth" .
Yes Skeptik when you instill a Good thought or as I beleive that, your heart is inditeing a good matter, truth comes from that sincerity, and truth is where you want it to be,for truth is what the world looks for.
the truth is no one down here has that list.
I do not think that a documentary would be a good debut project, should I decide to go into the whole film thang; it is not a genre I feel I could devote the perceived requirements in terms of time and research. I am however, always examining editing and FX software, and I'm always writing stories and developing ideas; I'm presently toying and tinkering with the Film-Noir genre-and adding a few twists to the whole scene. So it's not an impossibility (you can seemingly make a film with any kind of budget these days) and I've not yet ruled such an endeavor from my life as of present.
As for Documentary, that is by far a more specialized genre, and while I'm a huge fan of documentary films, I'm not sure that my personal style and sensibilities would lend themselves usefully and credibly to such a project. Still, were I to consider such an undertaking, I must concede that a documentary about Tony Alamo and the Foundation might be a matter of compelling interest.
Already, however, there are a few roadblocks that would have to be overcome.
One, I do think it would make for a good project, to expose the Alamo organization to scrutiny, to expose wrongdoing, and hopefully enlighten the rest of the world in the process. That said, I respect the privacy of those who post their personal experiences on this board, and I'm not too keen on as much as giving even the slightest appearance of exploiting their pain for whatever kudos and plaudits that I would inevitably receive for my efforts (I do have a conscience), nor would I want to impose on their privacy or to jeopardize whatever progress they have made in their lives. And that's assuming if anyone on the anti-Alamo side would even want to participate in such a project to begin with.
Two, even if someone on the board here would in fact want to participate in some way, and while I tend to fall more on their side of the debate just by my own interactions with the organization, people watching a documentary would want both sides of an issue, even with something like this. For example, this message board itself is the epitome of fairness because all sides get a chance to contribute, although the pro-Alamo camp thus far has not responded in an entirely civil manner, often propogandizing and name-calling rather than participating in a fair debate of the issues.
Still, an audience for a documentary project-even one such as the one we discuss in this thread- would want BOTH sides to be presented. I don't object to such a need: I in fact prefer hearing both sides before deciding an issue (that's why I watch Fox News, lol). And while there is a relative wealth of documentation and literature surrounding the Alamo organization (even from the Foundation itself in the form of newsletters and its internet presence), a project such as a documentary film would require on-camera participation of not only those who left, but also those still residing at the Foundation and even Comrade Alamo himself, so as to satisfy that need. Otherwise, it would be considered one-sided, and no matter my own personal convictions of such a project, it would face a massive crisis of perceived credibility: that is, is this project credible or not? And we'd want this project to have credibility. Thus, to satisfy that need for credibility, it would require having both sides be given equal time and opportunity to adress the issues raised.
Evenso, it is doubtful that anyone presently residing at the Foundation or favorably affilitaed with the Foundation-or even Comrade Alamo himself- would sit for an on-camera interview with an outsider. Though I was a "Visiting Christian," let's face it, I would still be an outsider to the Foundation until I decided to move in and assimilate into their little trip, bag, scene, and philosophy (fat chance).
Third, even if I got both sides to somehow meet with me on-camera, would the people of Fouke want me there?
Finally, such a project would be best done not only by an experienced filmmaker with a specialty in documentary filmmaking, but also by someone not affiliated with either side of this debate.
But hey, anything's possible....
As for the OC who seemed privy to Hell's guest list, he'd also said that Union General William Tecumseh Sherman was a long-time guest, as was Jimi Hendrix and Chuck Darwin. On the flip side, Elvis actually made it Heaven, or so the OC told me.

Simpleword, I'm not sure what side you fall on in this debate, as I've not read all of your posts.
Feel free to ask friend.
