just want to quote my last post for this new page as it will lead to some more fun in 2009. I must admit, that I do crack myself up at reading about "Golden Year Souls" as I never expected to be hearing about 60 + year old LCers in Leesburg becoming as destitute as some of the seniors whose life savings we hijacked in the 1980s.

Now we have the very sad sight of seeing one broken down LCer after another in Leesburg who never left, never saved and is now flat broke. Since the stipends were so low, the Social Security earnings were also low. On Howies blog I think I read that he saw some LYM with "Cars made in the Carter Years" as typical.

I have more to say about recent postings which are right on the money.

Now what we see are elderly and broken down LCers in their "Golden Years" with nothing while Lyn outlives them all.

For Nancy, Ed, Babs Zeke and others, this is truly your Golden Soul Years.

Lyn's genetics and having a supply of sycophants will allow him to outlive many of the old deadenders in Leesburg and in the regions. For the students and teachers of courses which pertain to how cults and mind control work, I feel that it is highly important for everyone to know just how the Bizarro world works. A lot of interesting questions and answers have been raised since factnet reopened. Allow me to give you my views on these issues as within a cult dynamic, there are different ways of looking at the same thing.

Realme mentioned in post #1431 about how the LC mobilized against the "Vietnamization" of San Francisco in the early 1970s based on voting district changes. To understand this one has to first understand this was in the early 1970s when the NCLC was now in the business of "exposing" every domestic CIA operation (keep that word in the back of your head) in the USA. NS and Campaigner at the time had every issue about how the CIA was running everything. Interesting to revisit this because the NCLC had the CIA running everything while every group we were fighting was saying that the NCLC was a CIA creation to disrupt and confuse. Hmmmmm.

In NYC we took this style of campaign during the NYC teachers strike where "local control" was now a Ford Foundation and CIA plot with the Rockfellers to take over NYC and create the slave labor zombie city we were warning about. The brilliant LC historian Tony Chatkin ran for mayor on this platform. Graham Lowry's dad as we posted here was with the Ford Foundation, perhaps right at the same time.

If we had two LCers in any, and I mean any municipal area, we had them run as US Labor Party candidates who just uncovered another CIA plot to impose the Humprey Hawkins slave labor bill or whatever delusions we had going at the time. The key thing here is to always think about is that to any outsider who read our endless leafletts, we were bonkers. However, after I left this circus it became clear to me that this whole nightmare was written for the members to keep them members. With the "6 degrees of Larouche" we could connect any public official in any city to Rocky and the CIA in a way which meant that YOU were living under the rule of the CIA and Rocky!

I wish I held on to some copies of the mini USLP pamphlets about how Rocky, the LEAA (Law Enforcement assistance Administration) drugs, slave labor, the UAW and every thing else was part of this massive plot.

This is ingenius cult methodology because it ensures that any member will now be scared of the "outside world" where every bit of their day to day contact is but one continual battle with mythical dragons to slay. In retrospect, it is quite clear to me that not a single campaign or word we would speak had any thing to do with a real problem for local citizens or any real issue at hand which voters cared about. We did a lot of dirty work for local officials who could slip us some cash and a few meetings where we would pick up grotesque slanders and info which we could use becasue we were viewed as insane, but they could not use.

When the USLP was being sent out to pasture so we could become Democrats, Lyn upped the ante as the ulitmate plot of all this was no longer the USA or the world, but him! This really is amazing to see this in slow motion when one enemy after another starts another new 7 day a week mobe which abrubtly ends and another enemy now fills the maelstrom and no one ever asked abut what happened to the old enemy. That is not entirely correct as one could hear members joking about this strange part of our daiily lives.

As Lyn's delusions spread, so did the need to expand this to the members to keep them in. After several years of people living in this Bizarro world, the members could pat themselves on the back for now being like little Lyn's and finding all of these plots to report to Lyn to confirm his delusionary diagnosis.

A great example of this was during Three Mile Island nuclear failure in Pennsylvania in the 1970s. We were able to put up articles almost the same time it was happening about how this was a CFR - Trilat plot to deindustrialize the US via Jimmy Carter and Jane Fonda's movie, "The China Syndrome". The plot became more intense as it was now not a failure of engineering , but a deliberate shutdown all orchestrated by................................... FEMA!

Yes, FEMA, the same gov agency which was mismanaged during Katrina was now acting behind the scenes to both sabatoge a nuclear powerplant to destroy the US economy, keep Jimmy Carter as a dictator flunky of the Rockefellers and run a top down fascist control of the US population via Ted Kennedy and Hollywood!

One of my tasks was to attend a FEMA meeting about I think flood control with some other LCers. They sat in the meeting and carefully listened to every local resident who was concerned about an evacuation plan when the local creek overflowed. due to excess runoff from melting snow. At the precise moment, our crack team of LCers did an "Intervention" to denounce FEMA as being a plot by Rocky, the CFR and the Trilateral Commission to impose slavery on the local residents during a CIA induced flood caused by cloud seeding! I kid you not. My job was to sit near the FEMA exec table with my camera and take pictures of these poor Gov employees who did not expect a visit from the insane asylum.. The pictures were to be used in some gestetner machine flyer we would do with the pictures of '"Rocky's Henchmen" in exposing both the Three Mile Island Caper and our own local CIA cloud seeding plot! I really felt potent when after the FEMA people left their table to subdue our members, I took a bunch of photos of their paperwork which I was told would have secret info to be studied by the LC in how this was all to transpire! The paperwork was basically flood maps by the Army Corp of Engineers and insurance paperwork for the local homeowners!

I can never forget one day waiting in line at the local supermarket and seeing a copy of WEEKLY WORLD NEWS . That was the paper which always had stories about Elvis, UFOs and BigFoot. Well, what do I see but a big headline about how Three Mile Island was a hoax!! I read the article and it was based on some writer who called up the FEF and was quoting Moe or Steve about this Hoax. To show you how I really was in the Bizarro world, this press coverage was then placed into the briefing! Later, I would hear our boiler room people who were trying to sell 75 dollar FEF memberships actually mention the WWN centerfold to contacts to show how we are gaining power in the USA!

Things some times stay stay the same as Jeff Steinberg used to make a few bucks by ghost writing and being used as a source for stories about terrorism in the National Enquirer and GLOBE tabloids after 9/11 and the Lady Di deaths.

This all happend 30 years ago and today I find myself attending school board meetings where my kids go to school to influence the local curriculum and school board decisions in local schools. I also write checks to FEMA via my home owners insurance for flood control. I can never thank God enough for finally figuring this lunacy out and leaving early enough to get my life back in order.

Howie , as you can see clearly by all of this, the way you would look at a local boundry issue for an election has nothing to do with how we looked at this. This forum allows non LCers to understand how the wackness is a systemic operation . The outsiders and of course the LYM and LYMettes are also clueless about this and can learn from our postings. What we print and say in the org is to keep you in the cult and in this self contained world of delusions. Lyn only needs a few hundred to keep this farce and party going till he croaks.

Fenris Operation beat me to the punch. To make an organiser feel like a world historical figure, you have to give them some enemies of Lyn to pump them up. An outsider would see that the cult is upset because you just asked simple questions which they can not answer without going wacky. To defuse a member from wondering about any of this, you have to make the questioners and the questions part of what we would call an "OPERATION. If you had an operation done against your squad, then you were now potent and the cause of the enemy deploying a flunky like you on behalf of the British. Back in my era, we battled other leftist groups for the street corner at the local unemployment center. Then , everyone was an agent of Rocky. A few years go by and now The JEws via the ADL are the enemy where the agetns all come from.

Funny how Lyn could write about he could detect an enemy agent within a 100 miles, except for those grifters who took him , security and the LC for about 13 million dollars.

If your family called up the office and asked for you, that was an operation.

If the bus did not let you off at the plant gate stop, that was an operation.

If the car did not start, that was an operation.

If the phone or electric company was going to shut down service to the office, that was an operation.

If the landlord asked for the 5 months back rent, that was an operation.

If a city tow truck just hooked up a LaroucheMobile for parking at a fire hydrant, illegal zone or for unpaid parking tickets, that was an operation.

What you could do Fenris is interview the local LYM and LYMettes and ask them about how they are paid, do they pay taxes, do they get minimum wage from South West Distributers, do they have health insurance and does SW LIT pay FICA and proper taxes. I would guess that many students would not wish to have a slave labor operation exploiting teenagers on their campus.

There is a lot more to cover in this and I wish to end this with some of what Lyn used to say aboutt black leaders. When we were busy running as USLP candidates in most cities, the fun really began if the mayor or big candidate was Black. We would issue incredible racist lit about Black candidates based on them being House Ni**ers for Rocky and dope dealers or fa**ots in the case of Harold Washington in Chicago.

At a national conference I am pretty sure Lyn had this to say about debt service, big cities and black candidates .

"When the city goes into the red, you get a black".

I believe that the symbol is indeed a swastika but I couldn't identify it as the Nazi version, but instead it appeared more similar to some Hindu versions or perhaps even some Native American version.
I also checked some tshirts for "Yes there really is a Kalamazoo" but none of them seemed like the one sported by the guy with the mustache on the Campaigner cover.

In reference to XLCR's "Golden Soul Years":

Starting way back in the early '70s, LaRouche denounced us all preemptively for any lingering yearning for a "bourgeois" lifestyle, for a "lifeboat" to take us away from the revolutionary life we had pledged to live as his followers.

LaRouche claimed that anyone who still had a job, or a spot in college or grad school, had a foot in that lifeboat--that is, had mental reservations. Had not hurled himself or herself into the maelstrom of revolutionary dialecticism or whatever. Hadn't truly ditched his dreadful family, friends, background, education, career....

The idea was that there was no surviving outside the LaRouche org. Any fantasies one might have had about surviving were understood to be Bad Thoughts. The member in question failed to realize that "If we don't win, none of you will survive anyhow."

So we were shamed into dropping out of grad school or college, quitting our jobs, telling our families to buzz off--and leaping into the bubbling cauldron of LaRoucheanism.

Sometimes, crazed recruits left their husbands or wives for LaRouche. Sometimes, as in the case of Sylvia B, they left their children. (Not so much her fault as Wertz's, who convinced her.)

Fast-forward about 30 years. These same youth, once so promising, are now aging, aged, infirm, with fibromyalgia, neuropathy, CMV, high blood pressure, bipolar disorder, alcoholism, whatever.

These no-longer-youth have the most low-level jobs, if they have any at all. They can't look forward to Social Security, because they've scarcely worked (for pay). Their health is shot, they can't get decent insurance, they won't get Social Security, they have neither the skills nor the health to work, and it ain't easy to get hired when you're in your 60s. I mean, how many bus drivers does Leesburg need?

Round about now that lifeboat is looking awfully good....

Please note that while the Boomers age and fade, and take a hundred hits from the LYM and from Lyn, the Old Man himself is doing pretty well.

He has food and wine and clothes and shelter and transportation and books and wine and haircuts (ah yes, do we remember that NBC deposition testimony? Look it up, kids--the famous LaRouche lawsuit against NBC and LaRouche's stellar deposition. See if you can get Babs to show it to you)--where was I?--yes, haircuts, and cowboy boots, and sidearms, and wine and cats and dogs and parties and airfare and medical bills paid and doctors' visits covered and wine and hotels and legal fees and furniture and flowers and wine and --

So Lyn has all those things, and all he has to do to get them is to sit around and make pronouncements and rant and rave and terrorize, and he gets PAID for it. Well, he doesn't actually get paid, but Rick Magraw and the cooks and the rest of "Security" get the money and Lyn gets the goods, and all just for doing what comes naturally. Ranting and raving.

The inequities here would seem to be clear to the meanest intellect, but there are some awfully mean intellects in the ICLC, mean in all senses of the word, so let me spell it out for you latter-day Jim Jonesians.

Lyn has lived high off the hog while attacking you for wanting a "country club lifestyle"--that's what he attacked the PMR and WorldComp people for, for years. "PMR lifestyle" became a fixed phrase, a technical term, for someone who had an income and health insurance and above all: Someone who had children.

Because it hasn't escaped anyone's notice that every single Labor Cttee member who worked at WorldComp or PMR had children. Every single one.

Fascinating contrast with the folks in the rest of the Leesburg org. No wonder Lyn hated Ken Kronberg so much.

Hello! Another former NCLC logs in. I wish to thank everyone for writing. It has been very interesting and enlightening reading. So, starting the new year right and I'll be back with more.

Welcome hamlut2b and a hearty Happy New Year to all.

hamlut25 There are several thousand posts here which can be hard to find at times. Just click to go back to the previous threads and you will find an amazing collection of information. As I always write, no one has the full story of Lyn and the LC and the what you can contribute here based on your vantage point, whether in the regions or the National Office are very important. I have found that just about every ex member I talk to is constantly surprised at what we place here.

I am interested in if you had any idea of the real estate plans we had and how 13 million dollars was hijacked by Lyn to feed the scam artists and grifters who fed his delusions over the years. The way in which events and activities were explained to you and the local members, compared to what really happened is also quite interesting.

Never think that you waste your time here with info becuase this site has spawned many articles around the globe and has caused quite a few LYM and LYMettes to hit the road to regain their sanity after a stint in the bizarro world. I can't begin to tell people just how many emails I receive from people who left or were going to join until they did a quick search and found this site. Don't go by the people on line figures as many members and interested parties just subscribe to receive daily emails with the day's posts.

The cult tactics today are no different for today then they were for every other generation of LCer. I have had many email exchanges with former LYM and LYMettes who read factnet.org and saw that they were on a hamster wheel, going through the exact same lunacy again and again. They had the same gut feeling that something was not right, except that unlike many of us here, they could use the web to instantly confirm their instincts.

For the people you knew who are still in today, every year it gets more sad as the tales come in. This really is a live clinical study of how cults work and and a cult monster can suck the entire life out of a person before throwing them away like a shrimp's tail at a New Year's Eve Party.

Fenris I want to add some more about the camera toting card table shriners at the local college. This is another cheap parlor trick by the cult. We did the same thing in somehting called "harras the harrassers". Part of this was to have members keep cheap cameras on them and take pictures of "agents" who were by our depoloyment sites. This got so insane that if anyone even dared to question the sanity of Fearless Leader, they too were an agent of the ADL in the North East, the gay lobby in the West Coast or Max Fischer in the Mid West.

This is a sort of kiddie James Bond process where the members are convinced that the fate of the world depends on them hitting quota at this particular interesection, airport , walking tour or street corner that day. It is like a reverse Bond movie where the nuclear bomb, created by the British is ticking away and one one side of the screen you have the minutes to midnight and the other side has the running income totals for the region. When you hit quota and the phone team hits quota that night, the world is saved until another day.

Your job is to photograph the endless agents sent to disrupt NCLC. Sometimes you would be sent to photograph a local office or house of an ADL employee or leftist enemy or the numerous CIA/Rocky agents in the unsafe outside world.

Speaking of Max Fischer, Last week I was watching the Motor City Bowl from Detroit on TV when I noticed that they were cutting to a shot in front of the Max Fisher Hall in Detroit! That got me thinking of how we demonized Max as part of the New Dark Ages and a dope Kingpin while a family member was part of the Detroit local.

For starters, according to a lead singer for our choral group, the cult tried to skip out on paying a hall rental for a musical production we were staging. In just about every city, it was impossible for members to see any play or music since we were always on a fundrasing mobe to save Lyn's life. In one city, cheap 5 dollar a seat tix for a great show were bought by the local after deducting it from the stipends. No one was able to go hear the show as 4 weeks later, yet another Sunday mobe was underway.

In Leesburg, we bought a store and spent a small fortune building a music hall upstairs. We will have pictures of this for you later. Downstairs was supposed to be a book store. In theory, this was a decent idea as the book store would have many books from classical and "insider" authors and arcane books which have a good following. I figured that we could have a pretty good mail order business from this as this was before the web.

hamlut2b You are not alone in not knowing what or where all of that hard earned money was going to. If you wish to bring up a sore subject with any current deadender in Leesburg, just ask them about how the real esate. These were not "deals" by Lyn, but just another example of his "primative accumulation" theory in practise. The real estate was done "off the books" with a select group of fundraisers who hit our contacts for big money in a scheme to have them become co investors with us . This idea actually originated with a contact who made the unfortunate mistake of thinking that we we were rationale people who would behave like the tens of thousands of other orgs which purchase property to stabilize office need expenses and have a growing asset.

For God's sake, even the Moonies and every two bit cult did this better then Lyn and kept their land and property.

We will soon be having a wondefull tapestry of photos of these properties on laroucheplanet.info for your perusal. I can take a wild guess and state that there is no way you ever saw the high quality brochures we did about the Leesburg office projects which only a select few knew about and ever saw. Liek everything else the LC did, what ever semed like a rationale idea soon was overtaken by Lyn's cult/mafia/mania and it was soon to disapear with a lot of money owed, collapse and of course, no signature to Lyn who claims to never know where his next meal came from.

The memo you mention from laroucheplanet.info came around the time we started a newsletter called "Investigative Leads". In every local we had a security officer who usually went out and got a pistol and permit and went for training. Back in the lregions, this person would hten set up meeting with local police and Fed offices about protecting Lyn when he arrived for a tour and basically to be an informant when possible.

This really is quite sick to see that the delusions and mental nightmares and hallucinations of Lyn and the cult have a happy audience among very deranged thinking in the Muslim world. This is one reason Lyn has to run as a Democratic candidate so the local media can show how an "Influential Democratic Presidential Candidate and leader " agrees with our hatred of certain people.

I would venture that one reason some LYM and LYMettes still hang on is that they are not Jewish as many former members were and have not the expereince with how anti semtism works in bold and sublte ways. You will eventually and like many other ex members, feel very shamefull and dirty as to what you actually were supporting instead of what you thought you were supporting.

LYM and LYMettes, I could bet you my house that I and a few others here could walk into any LYM clubhouse/soup kitchen and brief you about Obama and you would agree with me. It's an open secret that not much changes with the advent of a new year. Resolutions or no, most of us wake up on Jan. 1 with the same reluctance to exercise, 3 p.m. caffeine cravings, and freight of interpersonal neuroses that haunted us on Dec. 31. The same can be said of people's political convictions, and anyone out shopping for organic Brie and not-so-bargain bubbly in San Francisco on New Year's Eve could see that the ravings of Lyndon LaRouche (pictured below) are here to stay.

A trio of activists from the LaRouche Political Action Committee was canvassing in front of the Whole Foods on 4th Street yesterday afternoon, hoping to capitalize on a bumper crop of holiday tourists and shoppers. The canvassers, all of whom declined to speak on the record, said they were part of a group of more than 100 LaRouchites -- including roughly 20 paid staffers -- with an office in Oakland.

How can one to begin to describe LaRouche? American political culture has never lacked for voices on the fringe, but LaRouche -- a serial presidential candidate -- is remarkable by dint of both his longevity and the sheer outlandishness of his platform. What other candidate for the White House asserts that foremost among the enemies of the United States are Aristotle, the Anti-Defamation League and members of the British royal family? As George Johnson of the New York Times pointed out in an excellent 1989 piece on LaRouche, "There is something to offend everyone, or to appeal to every imaginable form of bigotry."

A sampling of the master's views could be gleaned from the propaganda peddled by LaRouchites in front of Whole Foods yesterday. Gems from one tract -- bearing the provocative title, "The Last Chance for Civilization?" -- include the following:

"There is no other empire on this planet today, except the British Empire."

"You have people in New York, like this crazy Mayor of New York: He wants to take over the infrastructure. He'll buy your sidewalk, and he'll put a tollgate at each block! This is not what I mean by infrastructure!"

And this cutting insight on the unforeseen consequences of solar energy:

"Where you want a green planet, you are creating a desert. And you say, 'That's better for nature.' This is only from the mind of denatured idiots, who think of these kinds of things. That's why they're called denatured."

Right. I'm guessing that went over great with the Whole Foods set.

The appeal of all conspiracy theories is the same: They purport to explain a world that for the most part escapes our understanding. To some minds, that appeal is so great that they reach for the likes of Lyndon LaRouche. For the rest of us, as we get ready to muddle through 2009, let's hope some Brie and bubbly will suffice.

Let's not forget that back in October LaRouche was raving, in the words of the October 11 briefing lead (thanks, Will), that Obama "is the product of this facist movement controlled by the British."

When, unaccountably, the British failed to destroy their creation pre-election (as Lyn had insisted they would do), Lyn was forced to fall back on his time-honored "Crisis! Emergency! Danger!" recipe of incipient assassination--his own or someone else's.

It's all new, relatively, to the LYM, but it's Old Old Old to the Boomers, whom Lyn never tires of attacking for being old themselves--this from a man who's 86--Old Boomers, in their Golden Soul Years, at dead-end, part-time jobs, wrestling with the legion of stress-induced diseases that most LaRouche supporters develop over the years.

Does everyone remember how Lyn used to cackle and say "Stress is good for you!"? Well, what he meant was, our stress was good for him. The only stress he was under was the internal psychological stress of being crazy 24 hours a day, but the stress we were under led to a stunning array of diseases in relatively young (middle-aged) people, and a very high death rate in those same people.

Well, LYM, Happy New Year! Let 2009 be the year you make a run for it. As Anita Gallagher used to say, when we left the office at midnight, "Jail break!" What an irony-packed utterance that light-hearted statement turned out to be.

And Boomers, you still have some years left. Stop flushing them down the loo of LaRoucheanism.

To help break the spell, why not go back over the last couple of years briefings and dispassionately read what LaRouche actually said? Is there a meaner, pettier, more self-involved man alive? Is there anyone with a shakier grasp on reality and on the content of all those books he claims to have read?

I think I too quoted Lyn as saying stress is good for you--but either way, it is one of LaRouche's favorite nostrums.

The funniest thing you said, hamlut2B, was the remark about LCers referring to "Lyn" ecstatically and intimately, even if they had never known him.

There's one thing funnier--or maybe sadder--LCers who DID know LaRouche referring to him ecstatically--because the utterly inexplicable thing is that anyone who knew LaRouche could have been ecstatic in any degree.

He doesn't improve on closer acquaintaince, and the proof of the pudding is the fact that the turnover on the NEC has been almost 100% over the years. After LaRouche got out of prison in 1994, a huge percentage of the NEC dropped out in the months that followed--they just couldn't take sitting in meetings with him again.

Along the same lines, here's a paraphrase of a dialogue that took place more than once between my mother and me while I was in the organization:

Mother: The Labor Committee can't be a cult.

Mother: Because cults have charismatic leaders, and LaRouche is so unattractive.

I could never convince her that there really were people who found LaRouche charismatic. Now, I can no longer believe it myself, but I do see them around town....

What was it, Love LaRouche Week recently in the Loudoun media?

First, we had the Purcellville Gazette publishing a letter to the editor from Philip U, saying basically--you've seen me out there leafleting, and now I want to tell you what I have learned about economics and recessions and depression and hyperinflation in all my years with LaRouche.

Really depressing.

Next, we had Leesburg Today and the Loudoun Times Mirror reporting with a straight face on Ed Spannaus's leading role in the Cemetery Memorial Rededication at Lovettsville Union Cemetery. Has Ed finally given up on LaRouche and decided to go with his other obsession, Deutschtum? (After all, let us not forget that Lovettsville, where the Spannauses live, bills itself "the German settlement.")

I guess Ed has to find something to do while Nancy grovels at those "Windy Hill Dialogue" meetings, doing her durnedest, in the midst of the Lyn-Jeff-Hoefle-LYMers infantile outbursts, to stay relevant: "Lyn, I'm still here. Remember me?"

Lastly, we had the Washington Post reporting on the fate of Notre Dame Academy in Middleburg, formerly Catholic and now--who knows? The odd thing was that the Notre Dame parent interviewed by the Post was ... Paul Goldstein, who seems to have misrepresented himself to the Post as being Jewish.

Paul? Jewish? That's a bad joke.

Just ask Paul for a briefing on the Talmud some day, and see what you get. For a bonus question, ask him when the Babylonian Talmud was written--although he may have updated his views on that since the days when he and Lyn were committing such howlers on that subject.

Maybe Paul said he was anti-Jewish, and the Post reporter misheard him.

I was just rereading some of LaRouche's rambling "predictions" on Michael Bloomberg for president. He was as accurate on that as he had been with his economic predictions for the past near forty years. Not only was Bloomberg a shoe-in, but the British were going to unload on Obama immediately after the nomination, if he defeated Hillary, as the way to secure Bloomberg's ascendancy. All the Rezko stuff was going to be used as political dynamite by Rohatyn and company against Obama. Of course that was before the Gov of IL became a target of a corruption scandal, but Obama still seems to be weathering these storms.
