Good post, Kellezi, but you leave out one important detail. Not only does LaRouche believe that capitalism in its current form is doomed, but that he is uniquely qualified to save it. This messianic complex is not something taken from Marx, or any Marxists, but perhaps LaRouche's Christian background. You are right in viewing Lyn as more of a reformist than revolutionary. He doesn't call for overthrowing the U.S. government, simply replacing its leaders. He believes policy changes are what's needed, not an overthrow of the capitalist system in total. But he also believes in a type of class warfare against the oligarchy.
"Anybody who is not making forecasts, useful forecasts, about volcanoes and earthquakes, should be thrown out of public office." Lyndon LaRouche, April 19th 2011 webcast
Yes, he speaks of the "mass strike" (a term coined by Rosa Luxemburg who is still apparently praised by LaRouchites) against the "oligarchy." An obvious leftover from his Marxist days. A guy I know says that the LaRouchites look like a parody of traditional Trotskyist parties, hawking their newspapers (or "journal" in this case) and predicting imminent economic collapse. Then you actually listen to LaRouchites speak about how the Queen owns the Fed and equally crazy stuff and then realize you aren't dealing with Trotskyists, you're dealing with the Lyndon LaRouche political cult.
I am mildly surprised, Chator.
Who can say what LaRouche "really believes in"?
The evidence--in terms of actions--shows that he turned on his OWN long-term supporters and then threw them away like decaying garbage. Yet, he spoke for 20 - 30 years against this type of Nazi economics. I thought he "believed" that older folks should have health insurance and retirements? Did this "belief" transfer into practice--and with people who devoted their entire adult lives to him?
Quite frankly, the evidence suggests that LaRouche ONLY "believes" in power for himself. He can turn on a dime (as you noted, Chator -- in a great little write-up a couple days ago).
Do you REALLY think that he would respect US Constitutional law and our Bill of Rights if he were President? I think he would push a button at a moments notice to off anyone and anything that stood in the way of whatever he wanted at the moment. LaRouche is NOT a thoughtful, reflective person who learns from his own mistakes (often the only and/or best way of learning).

Okay, fine. I agree, except under possible extreme conditions, such as a military coup (LaRouche's REAL ties to the national security establishment are still unknown).
On the other hand, MY main point was NOT LaR as Prez, but the idea that LaR believes in anything other than his own power.
Detailed analysis of this or that statement made at this or that time and how this all relates to historical figures/events 1,2,3... are a bit vacuous (simply MY opinion) even if they simply involved assigning probability values to each of LaRouche's beliefs at every moment in time.
It is all absurd--far too intellectual and abstract.
LaR's base ACTIONS would seem to override almost any talk about his belief system. If people want to play psychiatrist about what goes on inside LaRouche's head, it is a fine exercise and, to some, interesting speculation.
I simply think that the evidence "proves" (in the informal sense) that he has no real core beliefs other than a ruthless interest in power.
Question: Can ANYONE point to a SINGLE documented act of human kindness that LaRouche has exhibited in the past 30 years?
I simply hear the message: Danger, Enemies, Mobilize, Fight, War!, ad infinitum. His "beliefs" are illusory.
Earnest One October 16, 2011
a) I don't think LaR is a threat, even in the unlikely event of a military coup. I think his ties to the national security establishment exist in his own mind, which leads to
b) I totally agree that LaR's primary belief is in himself as the ultimate authority and thus as the best person to exercise authority. Whatever influence he may have had on the political establishment, anybody's political establishment, has dried up. All that is left is his belief that he is a person of influence.
XLCR's description of declining production values in the recent webcasts certainly suggests to me that LaR's money is drying up, along with his ability to get attention. I don't think the organization will survive in America without him. Now would be the time to exert the energy to groom an heir apparent and raise money to continue whatever work it is they think they are doing. It's not happening. Helga may keep the European wing going for a while, assuming there is much of an organization over there to work with.
I suppose not even LaRouche can be trusted to say what he actually believes, alot of what he says, like with many other demagogues, should be interpreted as a stage act intended produce a particular result.
You can take every statement that LaRouche has said about Obama and analyze it this way and that, and you will find him contradicting himself at points, but the gist of the message is that he doesn't like Obama and wants him eliminated from the Presidency. In the end, I guess that's the only message that matters. Not whether such a stance is justified by this or that which Obama is alleged to have done.
Would LaRouche respect US constitutional law and the Bill of Rights as interpreted by the US legal system? Well, LaRouche didn't seem to respect the law with respect to pay his taxes, and frauded his supporters, so what does this say about him? Anything, but his plans are incidental to him, I think.
"Anybody who is not making forecasts, useful forecasts, about volcanoes and earthquakes, should be thrown out of public office." Lyndon LaRouche, April 19th 2011 webcast
LaRouche, like any political cult leader, has two sets of positions: those he actually believes in and have been with him for decades with little modification, and those which he adopts on the basis of opportunism and gaining supporters and/or funds. The years 1977-1980 appear to have been the most important since they were when the NCLC shifted from being avowed Marxists to embracing the "American System." I'd also say that LaRouche's economic and social views haven't really changed from the mid-80's onwards, just his list of enemies.
I wonder, would it be possible for anyone who has it to upload the 1977 edition of The Political Economy of the American Revolution by Nancy Spannus and Chris White? That appears to have been the book which signified the full transition from Marxism to LaRouchism.
This is pretty much on target, but what can we identify as LaRouche's core beliefs as opposed to what he says opportunistically? I think the core of it is the inner elites theory which he has not wavered on since he first developed it. I'd also say the theory of the criminal mind and how those who sympathize with the oligarchical enemy should be treated as if they were enemy combatants--a totalitarian concept that keeps cropping up again and again. As to the Spannaus and White book, the time frame is certainly in the right ball park, although I'd say LaRouche's core ideas were fully consolidated more in 1978 than 1977. I haven't read the Spannaus and White book but I suspect the best choices signifying the transition would be tracts by LaRouche himself--The Case of Walter Lippmann (1977) and The Secrets Known Only to Inner Elites (1978). This is apart from how one interprets LaRouche's core ideas, i.e., whether one accepts them at face value or as coded discourse or as psychological projection, or as a combination of all three. My opinion is that it's all three.

The last sentence of the posting above reads: "This is apart from how one interprets LaRouche's core ideas, i.e., whether one accepts them at face value or as coded discourse or as psychological projection, or as a combination of all three. My opinion is that it's all three." To which I'd add "all three fused together in an inseparable way, like plot, characters and setting in a novel."
Don't forget LaRouche's earlier support of Nixon in Watergate — hardly leftist. I wonder if that had something to do with his Quaker background. LaRouche's morality is similar to Nixon's, as described by H.R. Haldeman. I believe it was during the writing of "Secrets" that LaRouche started banging Helga. It was rather embarrassing in the National Office. Ostensibly, Lyn was still in his relationship with Vivian. She was frantically trying to contact him. He was sequestered with Helga in a room in Wiesbaden, with pages of manuscript sent over in between the other activities. My impression is that both "Lippmann" and "Inner Elites" have a strong resemblance to post-World War I German high school texts, but I have no intention of rereading them to confirm. At the time, we used to joke that one could substitute the epithet "British" for "Rockefeller" in LHL's writing without skipping a beat. Regarding his relationship with Helga, it was known in the national office that Lyn had a predilection for women with big breasts. I am aware of another well endowed woman who was favored with his attentions in those days.
Tarquin10 a lot of men do. I don't -- I quite prefer natural over any augmentation too. Many older women turn me off. Well, not all of them but the ones that get fat and let themselves go can keep on walking when they pass me by. This seems to be another reason to dump all the boomers. I'd rather look at the fetching Alicia Cerretani over say Marielle Hammett any day of the week. Somehow I doubt they'd be raising as much cabbage with Molly doing the LPAC-TV updates.

Hey! I noticed they now have a lot of comments at LPAC. Why not take Howie's blog and dking's stuff etc and go over there and yell at them? You're not scared are you?

C'mon. .. I can make an email up for you if you older guys are challenged by the new tech.
I wonder if anyone in the cult has located the exact location where Larouche says the first gas chambers will be built in the USA by Oabama? We also need the location in the Federal budget where the funds are allocated for this since Larouche is right.

The secret
October 16, 2011
Dan Schmitt, Marshalltown , Times-Republican
I have a secret. I'll tell you because the best paid press won't nor will the gutless congress because Lyndon LaRouche's name is mention.
Russia and China have decided to back Lyndon Larouche's efforts instead of Obama's administration to save the World from total devastation. Things could still go bad because the British Royalty and the World Bankers won't want to give up the monetary system of trillions of dollars in funny money - derivatives debt which they have been trying to push off on to us tax payers.
We the La Rouche team have for a long time pushed for the North America Water and Power Alliance that had been proposed before World War II and then forgotten
by our U.S. political leaders. LaRouche promoted this for a long time and has now incorporated the process with Russia and China who just recently signed agreements - Russia to supple nuclear power and China to build trains to bring the world in a cooperative way for the good of all people. This would be a real job creator.

What Do Rob McKenna and Lyndon Larouche Have in Common?
Posted by Goldy on Sun, Oct 16, 2011 at 10:07 AM
So, what do Rob McKenna and Lyndon LaRouche supporters have in common? Apparently, neither will talk with me. At least, that's what I found out yesterday when attempting to start an open and honest dialogue with the crazy-****ing LaRouchians parasitizing yesterday's Occupy Seattle protest at Westlake Park.
Huh. Not quite sure what the purpose of standing on a street corner all day is, if you're not willing to talk to people who approach you to inquire about your poster of President Obama wearing a Hitler mustache?
Comments:
I had a long conversation with one about the PANIC initiative and he admitted that their view of gay people is pretty similar to the street preachers', except their view is based on "science" not religion. He said HIV/AIDS quarantines are a good idea because gays are extremely promiscuous and said regulating private sexual conduct is a moral good according to LaRouche...................
Be careful with both.
They will lie about what they believe in just to get the mike, and then spout hatred...............
I put these morons in the same category as the Westboro Church cult - their bull**** isn't designed to be reasonable, but rather, to spark a confrontation, so that they can play the victim to their followers and to the press. .
Open and honest dialogue?" Goldy, that would require some amount of respect for the the "crazy-fu*king LaRouchians" which seems to be lacking. (No, you shouldn't have any respect for them, but why white-wash your motive?) .....
Confirmed: these LaRouchebags are in it because they don't have any friends........
Remember when McKenna refused to say anything at some sort of young republicans meeting when there was a guy who showed up to record him and just stood around for a few minutes................
Yeah, I've been seeing those posters for years usually down on 1st Ave and somewhere. I don't understand the need to engage anybody with an Obama Hitler-mustache poster. That pretty much precludes any following conversation from the realm of actual worthwhile discussion. ...........
lets just be thankful that Westboro isn't here. If they have shown up to any of the Occupy protests, we should be thankful that no one bothered to mention it. Lets keep it that way. And lets not mention the Larouche cult either! ..
That's not fair; I was political and didn't have any friends in middle school, and I didn't descend to the depths of LaRouchieness..........
This must be the "C" reading group today, the ones who still believe (including Goldy) in the existence of the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus and Tinkerbell!
The LaRouche scam has been going on ever since they put the "matching public campaign finance" item into law and on your tax forms --- remember that box you may, or may not, check off every time you do your income taxes?
Every four years, as L. LaRouche meets the criteria for a "matching political party," they receive approximately $30 million (sometimes more, sometimes less, depending upon their numbers).
It has nothing whatsoever to do with politics or realty, doods and doodettes.
When did Americans become soooo dumbed down?????? (If you are over 30 years of age, you should realize what I just explained --- if you are younger, you get a pass this time.)
Once upon a time many, if not most, Americans understood that all those foundations (over 50,000 -- the exact number is difficult to ascertain) were financial constructs, originally created by the Rockefeller, Morgan and Mellon families in their latest incarnation: to hide wealth, ownership, and for purposes of tax evasiona and tax avoidance.
And the item below is more important than this unfortunate post (sorry, Goldy guy):
http://gawker.com/5850054/
http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6231/6238…
If LaRouche runs as a "Democrat" (he does), how can he qualify as a "matching political party"?
If LaRouche receives $30 million every four years, then how come his FEC reports are always exactly the same?
Quarter after quarter, year after year, his reports show that his funding consists of loans from supporters, usually from several decades ago and never repaid. Apparently, his creditors don't demand their money back; then again, by now a not-insignificant proportion of those creditors have died of old age. OTOH, he doesn't appear to accrue any interest on the money in his bank account. ..........
, according to those matching campaign finance reports I looked at several years back, (official US gov't docs) he certainly did receive, and has been receiving for many years, matching public funds.

President Obama is starting to realize the problems of Judeo-Capitalism and the corrupt banking industry. OWS is following the believes of the LaRouche Movement whether they know it or not, soon they will realize he was right all along.

Do they take MasterCard if I want to make a donation?..........
I forget, what planet does mr.LaRouche come from?..........
Americans don't have the attention span or intellectual foundation to digest the heavy thoughts of LaRouche. For that reason, I like Webster G Tarpley who is able to break down and condense LaRouche's way of thinking for the majority of Americans.
LaRouche would make an excellent White House chief adviser or Treasury Secretary. LaRouche wouldn't do well as Prez. Not for lack of capability but, the American mass mind is incapable of responding to a President who is not telegenic or entertaining in some fashion...........
You should remember, that, despite the fact that President Bill Clinton won two terms as U.S. President, the same Bush family whose head supported the Nazi Adolf Hitler's seizure of power financially and otherwise, was already boosting a plan for a coup d'etat of the same type associated with Dick Cheney's circles still today. Only the appropriate measures to remove Barack Obama from office stands between you and the Hitler-like seizure of power which was planned by the same Wall Street, House of Morgan breed, which had been attempted as a fascist takeover against President Franklin Roosevelt.
After reading a Seattle comment and other comments around the country, I just thought of something. The cult has moved closer to the Moonies and Krishna old school model with the Obama Hitler poster. Those two cults were usually assiciated with hawking flowers on the streets for a while in robes. The Larouchies, instead of flowers have the Obama poster with the card table shrine on their resume and that is as visible as the robes the Moonies and Krishna would wear on the streets.
Not bad for 330 million dollars and several decades of work. A few more decades awaits you at the Helga card table shrines.
