What I thought was a contest for best performance by a Larouche candidate between the USA Rachel Brown aka "Dining Room Table" and the European Jacque Cheminade aka "UPO" (unidentified political object) has turned into a draw. Each candidate has shined in their persepective countries. Cheminade joined the cult when our old slogan was "One Fist across two continents". I must thank Mr. Cheminade for revising that slogan and showing what 330 million dollars and 45 years of devotion promoting Larouche as our savior has culminated in .

    Our new slogan?

    One joke across two continents.

Using google translate I get these versions.

-Une plaisanterie à travers deux continents.

-une blague sur les deux continents

-une blague à travers deux continents

Anyone who knows French could assist in a proper version.

I would respectfully ask the LYM and LYMettes to review our coverage which is nothing more than what is in the French press and a recent LPAC release by Larouche to see the fundamentals of cult 101.

LaRouche: London Behind Vile Slander Campaign Against Cheminade

    March 30, 2012 • 8:06AM

Lyndon LaRouche today sharply denounced the vile slander campaign, directed against French Presidential candidate Jacques Cheminade. "The vicious slanders against Jacques Cheminade are coming directly on orders from London," LaRouche declared. "The British oligarchy is terrified of what I represent and what my associates and I are capable of doing to wreck their plans for thermonuclear extinction or a post-nation state plunge into a horrific global dark age. The British imperial monetarist system is doomed, and they are scared to death at the alternative that I offer."

Senior U.S. intelligence sources have separately confirmed that the unprecedented smear campaign against Cheminade, which began the instant that his candidacy was certified by French electoral officials, is being run from London, utilizing British assets in the French media and the political parties.................

Notice how Larouche uses his basic "Trilogy of Terror"

    -Thermonuclear war.

    -New Dark Ages.

    -Economic collapse.

all at once to keep you in the cult around the clock , this time raising money via a Cheminade vehicle.

    Next we examine this line.

..smear campaign against Cheminade, which began the instant that his candidacy was certified by French electoral officials....

I have to defer to my wonderful exit counselor and LC Shakespeare teacher Fred. Fred was very clear that what we call slander against Larouche back in the 1980s was just the press reporting our lunacy. Correction, his term was "kookery" when he would talk to me. He picked up that it did not matter what you said that was rationale at first because Larouche made his mark in history by going loco about The Queen of England. No matter what road you started, it all ended up with the Queen of England with pixie dust of conspiracies with whatever the villains Larouche had in his head as being part of an assassination plot.

The same phenomena occurs with all of our candidates since the goal is to promote Larouche as the solution to whatever the problem happens to be. Once you step aboard that Larouche crazy train, you can't get off unless you leave the cult as so many members have over the decades. What Fred was telling me was that the conspiracy was not the media against Larouche, but just reporting on what Larouche says which is now being listened to by non members. After you leave the org just wait a few years and go back to reread some old lit and see how it appears in the present.

Cheminade was not the victim of French Press being ordered by The Queen of England and London to slander him, but the butt of jokes AFTER he was guaranteed coverage as a candidate. He would have been better of like most of our candidates by being just a name on the ballot.

Poor Nancy Spannaus gave Cheminade and the cult the virtual kiss of death with her hilarious EIR article last week.

From an Eaglebeak posting a few days ago.

For a little perspective (by which I mean comic relief), let me share with you a few phrases from Nancy Spannaus’s recent EIR article.

    First, the title:

    A Shift in World Politics?
    Cheminade in Breakout Mode
    .

    I think she meant Breakdown.

And then there’s “Cheminade has propelled himself into prominence both in France and internationally, due to his policies, but also because, he has enjoyed equal coverage with France's two main contenders for the presidency, François Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy.”

    Really?

Really? That is a great skit on Saturday Night Live

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdE4FIYSmk8

and the following bits will give the members an idea of how Cheminade is viewed in "Fraunce" as Lyn says.

We now head to a quaint tiny outdoor cafe with wifi in Paris's 7th Arrondissement where our correspondent is sending articles between bites of steak tartar.

-Cheminade lost not just to some one who is a Trotsyists, but to something called "Invalid Votes" in one area.

Bridge to Asia, Colony on Mars: Bizarre Candidate Clowns in France

Just a few quotes translated --

Three left-wing extremists (Trotskyite to neo-Soviet), two ultra rightists (orthodox xenophobic to populist anti-European), and one conspiracy theorist are among the winners already: They collect 800,000 Euros participation bonus each.

Jacques Cheminade is top of the league. The septuagenarian wants to build a "thermonuklear corridor" to outer space in order to colonise Mars, well, that's a medium-term project. First, a bridge from Europe to Asia should be built, according to his opinion, just to secure world peace. In terms of education policy he campaigns for choral singing as a mandatory school subject and for a return to good old 15th century French, which admittedly would not be understood by anyone but would be so much more worthy than today's.

Is he quite right in the head? No, but perhaps it's just because of this that he's got what it takes in France for being a media class clown.

And Cheminade may have to reinvest his 800,000 Euros into libel lawsuits: He shifts US President Barack Obama into the proximity of the "early Adolf Hitler", suspects the British queen of leading a world-wide drug cartel. Nonchalantly, Cheminade transforms the motto of the French Revolution, "Liberty, equality, fraternity" into "Liberty, equality, ludicrousness".

-Funny, funny funny. This one shows one page on him with a mag cover + a poster where he claims the queen pushes drugs, obama=hitler, the beatles are secret agents, 911 was ordered by gw bush, and for workers on Mars... There is other material there that I do not understand since I do not know French.

-Cheminade cartoon about him wanting to ban video games as his platform.

    http://www.sans-raisons.com/elgjyn/archives/1482

Rough google translation of part of this.

We all know, the presidential campaign is not remarkable for his intelligence. But at this point, I suspected still not ...
The candidate Jacques Cheminade, I call it "Who is this cake?", Just subtly propose to ban violent video games (they are all idiots and make them violent and violent, this is known and proven) and overtaxing those who would have no educational content. L'argent recueilli irait alimenter son The money raised would go towards his « Opération Amadeus » , action inscrite dans son programme électoral et qui consiste en gros à donner à chacun la possibilité de faire de la musique. "Operation Amadeus" , action included in its platform and that is basically to give everyone the opportunity to make music. Voilà. That's it. Ça c'est fait. That's done.

I will not dwell on the fact that once again, video games are seen as only vectors of violence. Est-ce que quelqu'un qui traine sur ce blog a déjà osé rencontrer les géants de « Shadow of the colossus » ? Is someone trolling on this blog has already dared to meet the giants of " Shadow of the colossus "? A sauvé Zorda avec « Ico » ? A Zorda saved with " Ico "? Has anyone ever been a flower petal in " Flowers "? Does someone has already dragged into the desert of " Journey "?

But worse still: this man, who managed to collect 500 signatures (always read before signing ...) proposes to destroy an art (yes, an art ...) to finance another.
Frankly, displaying his stupidity and his méconnaisance a field by providing nonsense like this, it makes you wonder where this person was the day when there was distribution of brain ... Personally, I would just to reinstate the death death for the a$$holes who waste oxygen on our planet by emitting such bull$hit. Je dis pas que c'est pas juste. I'm not saying it's not fair. Je dis juste que ça soulage… I'm just saying it relieves ...

Friend of gaming or simple person purporting, share this post through the contraption from below, perhaps there's some people who wanted to vote Cheminade and were not aware ...
As to the first who come here saying that voting for him, I just remember that Jules and I really like video games, but that by playing Rayman and Dora the Explorer, we became thirsty beasts of blood. Vous êtes prévenus… You have been warned ...

-Another cartoon of Cheminade and his head, I am seeing a pattern here.

We may get more after dinner, but they eat late in Paris.

Try to top that Diane Sare and see if you can outcrazy Rachel or Cheminade.

I notice that the EIR archive has been stuck on the October 12, 1990 issue for months now. See: http://larouchepub.com/eiw/public/1990/index.html

At first I thought "hrm, maybe there's a subsequent issue that makes LaRouche look really ridiculous or something," then I realized that every issue of EIR does that. Then I also realized that, of course, their 1974-77 issues are online too, in which LaRouche proudly states what America will be like with a socialist (i.e. him) in the White House and how nothing short of police-state measures could prevent a victory for the U.S. Labor Party at the ballot box in 1976.

So I guess they either lost interest in doing the archive or they're on an extended break. Hopefully it's the latter since old EIR, ridiculous as it is, at least had a tiny bit of value occasionally, especially if you happened to be lost in the wilderness and your only source of news was EIR, whereas modern issues would probably wind up having you think that fire* is an evil invention of the British Empire and thus causing you to freeze to death or something.

    * Declared evil after an incident in which LaRouche burned his finger on a stove on July 12, 2014.

I had kind of assumed that the 4 or 5 year gap in the archives at LaRouchePub.Com had something to do with the period that LaRouche claims EIR was controlled by Fernando, or something like that.

Seems like Diane Sare is making the news here in Bergen County, NJ where she was a participant of a debate with two other candidates in the Democratic Primary. http://www.northjersey.com/news/stat....html?page=all
One question for Diane, since I would be in her district is: if Glass Steagall would solve the current financial crisis, how come LaRouce was warning about world economic disaster before the law was repealed, under Clinton?
The article itself, although it mentions her as a LaRouche candidate, attempts to portray her on her program rather than her wingnut politics. Of course, she is also another candidate running as a "Democrat" in a campaign where the incumbent Republican is the almost guarantee favorite, so that the Congressman, who used to represent part of the district, before his district was redistricted out of existence, chose to run against another Democratic Representative incumbent, not wanting to run against Scott Garrett, Republican.

It rarely gets more controversial than this.

Today, outside the U.S. Post Office on Valley Road in Upper Montclair , a table has been set up by members of the LaRouche Political Action Committee asking passers-by to assist them in getting President Obama impeached.

Decorating the table is a photo of Obama with a drawn-on Hitler-like mustache.

Needless to say, people going in and out of the post office—or the Starbucks next door—were not very happy.

"This is outrageous ... and outside the post office?! You're all crazy!" one person shouted.

But the two young people manning the table—who said they were from Bergen County—spoke thoughtfully about their review of the last three years of the Obama administration's policies, starting with the Haiti earthquake where—against the advice of people on the ground—"Obama chose to do nothing to move refugees out of flood zones and hundreds of poeple died of cholera unnecessary."

"This madman is putting us on a trajectory toward the biggest of all possible atrocities, thermo-nuclear war, with his rumored agreement that Israel should launch a strike on Iran (which will lead to the annihilation of Israel) and the U.S. Navy will finish the job—leading to war with Russia and China," the pair's literature said.

The two noted that the only option now is to remove "Emperor Obama from office under Section IV of the 25th Amendment. There were many in Germany who claimed to disagree with Hitler's policy, who thought that he would be removed by the next election. That failure to act in time proved to be a disaster for the human race."

The two said they chose to stand on Valley Road outside the post office because of the location's high visibility.

They asked stunned residents to contribute money to the Lyndon LaRouche Political Action Committee and to sign materials aimed at getting Obama impeached.

Gotta love the LaRouche people. If you want to see them get all freaky just ask them about some of the nuttier things he's had to say. And if you want to really baffle them ask them to explain LaRouche's tome on "The Sexual Impotency of the Puerto Rican Socialist Party".

Some of the many wacky Larouche quotes...

"Rock [and roll] was not an accidental thing. This was done by people who set out in a deliberate way to subvert the United States. It was done by British intelligence,"

"The Beatles had no genuine musical talent, but were a product shaped according to British Psychological Warfare Division (Tavistock) specifications, and promoted in Britain by agencies which are controlled by British intelligence."

"Judaism is not a true religion, but only a half-religion, a curious appendage and sub-species of Christianity"

“As for ‘Jewish culture’…it is merely the residue left to the Jewish home after everything saleable has been marketed to the Goyim.”

"[c]oncretely, all across the U.S.A., there are workers who are prepared to fight. They are held back, most immediately, by pressure from their wives."

    Wa huh?

-A NJ card table shrine moves the next day more north to Mahwah NJ. The elderly LCer is a real nice person who joined around 1973 or so from college as a hard core Marxist. Linda was a very kind person who could not do anyone any harm as she did not have the nasty streak you see a lot. Very studious of German critical philosophy back then and someone who you could laugh with. She was in the boiler room for many years and the last I heard was that something happened in the NJ office which may explain why she is outdoors. It does seem strange to see people you know who from decades and decades ago were organizing against Hilex and MC14/4 and for "Strategy for Socialism" back then and are now "Volunteers" . Larouche lived a good life off of the backs of members like Linda. Some comments about the cult and then it all fades away..........

Campaigning group sets up display outside the post office Wednesday

An anti-Obama group of volunteers working on behalf of the LaRouche PAC, a political network that is calling for, among other things, the impeachment of President Barack Obama, set up shop outside the post office on East Ramapo Ave. in Mahwah Wednesday. The group hung up signs, handed out paperwork and spoke to passersby and PO patrons about their political positions, and advocated for a slate of LaRouche candidates.

“We are set up here because we have a candidate running in New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District, and Mahwah is a part of that,” volunteer Linda Leppig, of Hackensack, said. “We have been organizing since April of 2009, and we usually come [to Mahwah] once every few months.”

The PAC’s political position supports the views of Lyndon LaRouche. The group has made headlines for controversial signs and political handouts.

In Mahwah, LaRouche volunteers set up signs saying “Stop World War III: Impeach Obama,” and photos of the President donning a Hitler-like mustache.

According to Diane Sare, the “LaRouche Democrat” running for NJ’s 5th District congressional seat, “these displays have been having a big impact in towns across the district. We also have about 30 volunteers going door-to-door every weekend on our behalf.” Sare said the Bergen County LaRouche camp has about 150 volunteers working on its campaign.

Sare is running for the position currently held by Rep. Scott Garrett, a Republican who was first elected in 2002. Garrett announced his reelection campaign earlier this year.

According to the two volunteers in Mahwah Wednesday – Leppig and fellow Hackensack resident Jeff Rebello – the PAC will continue to campaign in the township. “We will be back,” Leppig said. “Mahwah is an important part of the 5th District.”

They have been camping there for years. They had George Bush as Hiltler back in the day. I am a big fan of their outfits. They had a guy there last time who was dressed like he just came in from the Australian Outback.

What a joke these people are. I wish I had gone to the post office yesterday to give them a piece of my mind. They can't respect the leader of our country?!? You know they can't be taken seriously when they use a photo of the president as Hitler. Talk about separating this country... these people are the type responsible. People need to get over the fact that we have a minority president. Deal with it.....

Lunatics. Get a "#*!@" JOB. Go to work and stop spewing your idiotic garbage all over anyone who wants to buy a postage stamp............

Hi Allan, if these people are actually following as "LaRouchiers", then I don't think it's as easy as that, unfortunately. LaRouchePAC has a long and twisted history in politics. I just hope these people don't end up with death threats if/when they snap out of it and decide that this fascist, racist, conspiratory group isn't what they really want. Sadly, it has been resported to have happened in the past to former followers of the group. Awful...........

ugh.. and I can't stand the fact that Sare is running with LaRouche AND Democrat in the same title. None of what LaRouche's followers believe is Democratic thinking. "LaRouche Democrat" is an oxymoron, IMO.................

Obama should be impeached, all his personal recorrds are closed. Phony birth certificate, phony social security card and one of his best friends will be collecting the ballets in November over in Spain. Why is Spain collecting our ballots and not the USA.............

Jean, you have totally bought into all the conspiracy theories. Read the truth (and the actual FACTS) at snopes about this Spanish thing...

    http://www.snopes.com/politics/ballot/scytl.asp

Looking at the picture of these two I am shocked. How is everyone missing the obvious. Have we not learned that you can not trust men with belly bags? He is obviously a European tourist. Those are the only people who wear belly bags. Can this man even be by a post office without producing his birth certificate? He could be Danish socialist or worse French. Where are the black helicopters watching everyone who interacted with them? Or maybe Jane is right they are from Spain and just here to influence our elections. We use electronic machines here but maybe there is a place where you can still submit a paper ballot? Totally makes sense that the best friend of the president needs to take a part time job to collect fake ballots in Spain. Think he gets paid off the book? Please somebody call somebody and tell them they heard from someone that they know for a fact that Obama was born on Krypton because they had heard from someone who babysat the OBGYN's kid once in the 70's........

-Larouche makes the NY Times!!! Wait, Larouche is blacked out in the final on line edit. Mistake about cult leaders or a real plot by a NY Times Columnist?????

Well there's no indication of that, the 1990 one still says "under construction" and the years 1991-1994 are still accessible, although obviously with no content in them (and barely any content in the 1995-1996 ones.)

They probably did just take a break.

    Default What??

    Dear Friends—
I know I always say this but: I’m sorry—I couldn’t resist! A much-needed thesis, my foot. First, it’s not a thesis. Second, it’s not much needed. Third, it’s not a little bit needed. Fourth, it’s not needed at all.

I believe no more comments are necessary, although I may be inspired to boldface a few oddities from time to time. (And of course, I have already excerpted a few of the most fabulous things from here and posted them previously.)

    http://larouchepac.com/node/22328

Note: This is an incomplete, un-edited, pre-release document.

    A much-needed thesis:

    SPEAK OF THE DEAD!
    By Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr.
    April 10, 2012
    ________________________________________
    ON THE SUBJECT OF HISTORY:

In my experience, much has been written with the apparent intent of representing both the U.S.A.’s and also much broader history, some of which is plausible, but most not. Amid all these, there have been some much-needed endeavors complementing my own much earlier works in these fields, as by the neatly composed documentation on this matter from my past and present colleagues such as Graham Lowry, Nancy Spannaus, Anton Chaitkin, and others; but, there has been no relevant account, so far, of an available, but merely recorded history which actually addresses those deep biophysical principles which actually underlie the deep evolution of human behavior, and of its societies on a (sic) urgently required, galactic scale. [What??—EB/MHK]

For example: look back to 1956-57.

Back then, I had forewarned, that what would be the worst post-World War II recession up to that time, would (and did) occur exactly as I had forecast: between the last days of February 1957 and the opening days of that March? (sic) My forecast was uniquely successful at that time; yet, even most economists and the like of that time proved themselves incapable of presenting a competent judgement (sic) at that time; but, all other considerations said and done, what I had forewarned in my role as an economist (when I chose to make a forecast), had usually happened, on each relevant occasion, exactly as I had forecast. [What??--EB/MHK]

I freely concede that there had been only a short interval between the forecast made in August 1956, and the outcome, during the interval from the end of February-through very early March 1957; but, since the precision of the forecast’s target had been dated to no more then (sic) a mere several days between the close that degree of precision of my forecast more than offset the brevity of the interval between mid-1956 forecast and the very early March 1957 consequence. [What??—EB/MHK]

In fact, on the record, virtually all economists among my putative “rivals,” have engaged in what passed for “forecasting” among them, have been consistently “flat wrong” on this account, up through the present day. Take the case of the scoundrel known as U.S. President Andrew Jackson, for example: [What??—EB/MHK]

Trotsky bests Jacques Cheminade by 2 to 1 margin; Diane Sare in Break-out Mode
ITEM NUMBER ONE: TROTSKY DEFEATS CHEMINADE BY 2-1 LANDSLIDE
The bottom most rung of the French Presidential Preliminary elections, 9th and 10th place, came down to a race between The Fourth International v Fifth International. I could go on and on with old Marxist phraseology — Are the Larouchies Left-wing deviationists from the Trotskyite line? — I suppose one also might say “Social Fascist”.
    Anyway, the Vote results

    Nathalie Arthaud (Workers' Party) 0.57%
    Jacques Cheminade (Weirdo) 0.25%
The Trotskyites best the Larouchies by a better than 2 to 1 margin. Though, I suppose, Communists have always had troubles bandying about the phrase “The People” — it looks like the People have spoken.

To review. We have the headline: Cheminade in Break-out mode! Meantime, the public was seen writing such items as: Interesting analysis: The direction offered by the Sarkozy camp is the only way forward if you would live in the Star Trek utopia proposed by Jacques Cheminade (currently polling less than ½ of one percent) while avoiding the disaster of the shy, teddy-bear-like anticapitalist, Philippe Poutou (currently polling less than 1% of first round voting intentions).

And we have this write-up following the election results: Jacques Cheminade obtained an official 0.2% of the vote, which is at the very least questionable, given the patterns of significantly greater support in the population, and some reports of irregularities, which his campaign will be looking into.

In the context of strategic voting anti-Sarkozy and political debate surrounding the failed (see the “debates” on the halal and the driver’s license or the ridiculous campaign videos NPA), facing the pack of watchdogs of the media system, which by the grace of Sarkozyism, now occupy most aggressive public service audio-visual speech with the demanding and against the current that is his, I think nobody in the world could have done better that Jacques Cheminade.
    Except, perhaps the Trotskyite.
    Sure. Blame the Media.
”The vicious slanders against Jacques Cheminade are coming directly on orders from London,” LaRouche declared. “The British oligarchy is terrified of what I represent and what my associates and I are capable of doing to wreck their plans for thermonuclear extinction or a post-nation state plunge into a horrific global dark age. The British imperial monetarist system is doomed, and they are scared to death at the alternative that I offer.”

    How Cheminade was pegged:
Insignificant candidates like Jacques Cheminade — a sort of French Lyndon LaRouche. (Hm indeed). centrist Jacques Cheminade. (Hm indeed.) A LaRouche candidate in the French elections? Seriously? But not here.

Jacques Cheminade: Its program combines song learning in kindergarten, the creation of a new currency, the “polytechnic eurofranco” comprehensive reform of the financial system, raising taxes on the wealthy, combat tax evasion and speculation. [...] The man, at once energetic and serene, will stop at nothing, even when reading the laughter in his eyes smarting from their partners who listen to show how the fortunes of the royal family comes from drug trafficking. A Jacques Cheminade also hangs on suspicion of being the guru of a sect hidden in his political party, Solidarity and Progress. It likes to make that question. In 2005, a ministerial mission on the sect said to the party, which he defined as follows: “Under the guise of anti-Bush political ideology with an alternative political movements made, the game plays with the fiber committed and idealistic students. ”

Well, THE CAMPAIGN CONTINUES! France will still have Cheminade to kick around a little… if they even notice and are motivated enough to.

Jacques Cheminade Vows to Continue Fight. Rally National Resistance – In overall effect, the effort put in to this campaign has consolidated the S&P network throughout France, at a time when the global financial disintegration is upsetting all the political calculations made until now.
candidates in the legislative elections [on June 10], who will show in the storm ahead, that they are as able as I am to defend our ideas.
“I am thinking in particular to the 585 mayors who presented my candidacy, to the activists of Solidarité & Progrès who fought energetically and to all those I met in our interventions in the streets. I am also thinking to the workers of Petroplus, Schindler, the Fonderies du Poitou, Erhel Hydris, the Fournier Laboratories, PSA-Aulnay and Florange-Mittal, whose jobs are immediately threatened by the looting of the financial system in which we live.
“My determination will go to support our 100 candidates, who will be the reference points in the approaching storm and will show the way out to safety.”

David Lindsay voices his typical concern.: Jacques Cheminade, a supporter of Lyndon LaRouche, has managed to collect the signatures of 500 civic dignitaries in order to make it onto the ballot. Next up, a Strasbourg seat. Isn’t the EU marvellous?
We’ve already had that unofficial look into of the 585 mayors’ motivations. I imagine if you break it down, the largest share of signators go to something of the order of how Sarzoky is mocked here — “Let voices be heard a bit!”
In Defense of the System as against the charges of The President.
But the Solidarity candidate and Progress was indeed a tree hiding the forest of small candidates who were as much intruders. [...]
It seems that the outgoing President, he, like that imagined, since it has long lamented having had to participate in a program between Cheminade and Arthaud.Intervene between these two clowns obviously posed problems as to his ego than our democracy. Chouiner and the fact that they were nine candidates against him, all alone. The poor!
And we leave with the Cheminade based Political cartoons. No Thomas Nast in the bunch, but these Caricatures will do.
ITEM NUMBER TWO: DIANE SARE IN BREAK-OUT MODE!
I switch from concern over Kesha Rogers — bidding for the Religious Right hereabouts, filings seen here – to concern about Diane Sare. To put it bluntly: yes, I can see this nominating victory happening. New Jersey Democrats need to get their act together to avoid a 15 minute post primary election embarrassment period, or this will be referenced again:
Diane is the only three of the candidates that have any campaign cash on hand to speak of at the time of this writing, a whopping $793. Nonetheless there is a following of hers, more like Lyndon LaRouche’s that want to work hard to ensure that she is the nominee and the agenda is furthered. To see her as the nominee in CD-5 would not be a total shock.
Yeah, there’s Reasons not to fear the Diane Sare campaign: ballot positioning. And we see the campaign here
How the Larouchies are selling the race:, and the debate between Diane Sare and Jack Castle
This is like Ron Paul Vs. Barack Obama [...]
This is like Ron Paul Vs. Barack Obama When Ron Paul wins the Republican Nomination and debates Obama on the issues; this is what it would look like on national TV. It would be great if Ron Paul added these key issues to his platform and discussed them openly with his supporters and in debate with his opponents -Mitt Romney etc. [follows a list of Larouche platform which is completely antithetical to to the philosophy expoused by Ron Paul.]
Just remember: A vote for Diane Sare is a Vote for Ron Paul.
To review the big debate: The Diane Sare campaignAnother funny thing happened on the way to the forum. Paul Eisenman when planning the event initially invited the two commonly known candidates – Jason Castle and Adam Gussen – and he was unaware of Diane Sare’s candidacy. Her LaRouche supporters vociferously demanded that Sare be included in forum. Eisenman said, “It’s a distraction to include her. How on earth can a person who believes President Obama is a clone of Adolph Hitler seek a position on the same ballot with Obama? Nonetheless, as a worshipper of Voltaire’s philosophy, I have no recourse but to welcome her as an equal to the forum.”
From Comments: Really confused with these LaRouche “Democrats” Besides believing Obama is Hitler and his healthcare law is his version of sending the Jews into the ovens what do these people believe and why are they Democrats?

With numerous Sare supporters in attendance there were questions about the Glass-Steagall Act and a comparison of President Obama to Adolph Hitler.

One track mind: Sare also stressed her position on the act when answering questions on other topics, prompting Castle to quip after one of her responses, “I think that was the second question that didn’t come back to Glass-Steagall.”

From the Moderator of the Debate: As a result of these “Glass-Steagall” tactics, we missed the opportunity to witness a substantive back-and-forth between the candidates on such topics as how to address immigration reform; how either candidate would propose we move forward if the Supreme Court strikes down the Affordable Care Act; what their thoughts are on Citizens United, etc., etc., etc. Most importantly, because of this dog-with-a-bone Glass-Steagall obsession, we never got a true sense of how either of these candidates would campaign against Scott Garrett in the fall.
From the Comments: The real problem with the debate, as I’m sure the organizers would attest, was the absence of Adam Gussen. Whether that was unavoidable as he maintains, or intentional as some have speculated, everyone can agree it was regrettable not having all the candidates in attendance.

Kudos to this person. Important message. Important push back.Carol Hoernlein · Top Commenter · Licensed NJ Professional Civil Engineer – Specialist in Water Resources at Carol A. Hoernlein, P.E.
I was there last night and Castle did not state that reinstating Glass Steagal would be detrimental. He said that Glass Steagal was enacted in the 1930′s and a lot what brought down the system would have still been legal under Glass Steagal. What brought down the financial system was greed and corruption and eggs in one basket – housing – risk taking on Wall Street and that the financial dealings are much more complicated now. THAT is why Glass Steagal is not a “silver bullet”. Diane Sare wants to eliminate the FED. How did that not get mentioned? A lot of nuance missed this Record reporter last night. If you want to know how nutty the LaRouche position on NAWAPA is – take a look at their website. New Jersey has flooding issues. That means TOO MUCH water. NAWAPA is a 1950′s vision of a for turning the Western prairie int…o the rain forest. (Some background checking on her MISSION would have been good reporting.) It will not have anything to do with New Jersey WHERE SHE IS RUNNING. Their MISSION looks like a 1950′s diorama of the World’s Fair “World of the Future” – circa 1962. I am a civil engineer and we now know that local solutions work best – not Army Corps of Engineers debacles like levees in New Orleans that failed during Katrina. The reporter also missed the huge statement by Sare that it is “arrogant” to blame global warming on man and that it is just a conspiracy used by the US to stop developing countries from developing. Sare never even heard of LEED or Green building when I asked. The reporter must have been swayed by Sare’s soccer mom appearance and polite demeanor. However what actually came out of her mouth last night was absolute vintage LaRouche crazy talk which she has honed over 23 years. I give Jason Castle (who is a HE by the way- nice editing) a lot of credit for facing down hostile questions from the equivalent of Ron Paul supporters frothing at the mouth over bringing back the Gold Standard. Try to give folks a real story so they can vote properly. This was an important story that your reporter dropped the ball on. Absolutely no mention on their positions on the Health Care Reform Act…

ITEM NUMBER THREE: CONNECTING THE DOTS All Over The Nets
A discussion regarding for the most powerful and influential Larouchie in these United States: Alex Jones — is he anti-semitic? Responses vary, and tend toward things like: The GOP of today isn’t Eisenhower’s. It’s full of Jews and their goy tools and the like.

This person, our good friend Cliff Kincaid, loses his credibility in blasting the Larouchie Obama Hitler signs (as something liberals tossed to the conservatives when actually Larouche is a Marxist Democrat), than saying of a Catholic Bishop’s Obama Hitler comparison:
Whether you agree or disagree, these were extraordinary comments and certainly worthy of national media attention. But the story remains mostly in the conservative media.
    Hm. Comments:
So what the heck is going on? Could Obama be a super communist or dictator wanna-be? Well, maybe we should have a discussion about this. Why doesn’t the media sit down with Obama and ask him straight out about these questions and see what he says.

Here’s some Conspiracy crap to throw out into Cliff Kincaid’s universe: There has also been a surge of web activity centered around the LaRouchePAC article “Four Deaths of Obama Opponents a Remarkable Coincidence?” The article questions the statistical likelihood of four political opponents of Obama dying suddenly between the lead-up to the August 2008 Democratic Convention and March 2012. Er… it’s a “coincidence” that is pretty damned likely, actually.

The people review the 1932 film. Find it lacking.

    Churn, Churn, Churn.
An Internet search reveals there are four main sources of information about the Club of Rome (COR): the Club of Rome website; Lyndon Larouche’s prolific attacks against the Club of Rome; Illuminati and New World Order sites drawing on Larouche’s work; and various climate change denial sites, which portray the entire sustainability movement as an anti-growth conspiracy originating with the COR. The climate change denial movement receives major financial support from billionaire oil barons David and Charles Koch and the Big Coal lobby.1 I suspect many of the New World Order websites also receive a significant chunk of corporate funding, though this is more difficult to trace.

Never trust anything claiming to “Connect the Dots” — EIR’s “influence” is to poke its way into things claiming to do such.

But according to them, he is a force.

ITEM NUMBER FOUR: OWN SOME PIECES OF OBSCURE HISTORY
1980 Campaign material on sale. “No comment on content”.
Wire photo: Earn a piece of history of Lyndon Larouche with his mouth open.
    Estate sale.

ITEM NUMBER FIVE: POST OFFICE TOUR

    ADL issues alert

Dateline some college or other, from a Recreational Drug User…

These guys came to my campus today advertising Larouche PAC and saying we were all doomed as Obama would become the next Hitler. They even had a picture of him with a Hitler mustache. I tried to explain that this picture was incredibly offensive, especially to Holocaust survivors like my grandparents. They responded saying my grandparents were dumb and had no idea what was going on. I should have beat him senseless, but alas, I didn’t Anyways, I checked out their site to see what they were really about. They seem like a crazy conspiracy theory group, though some stuff they say is mildly interesting. Too bad they can’t have decent rhetoric and maybe spark an actual conversation.

    Likely not a drug user
On my way to class A couple of old people came up to me saying something about how Obama will start world war 3. Saying that Obama has the same views as hitler and they had a poster of obama with a hitler mustache. then they asked what party affiliation i was apart of, and i told them im a republican. Then they started saying some random things about democrats. I understand if you dont like obama, but the **** they were saying was crazy.

    Dateline Long Valley
“People hate Obama,” Scialdone said. “But they’re being brainwashed by the media that they can’t change it. That’s what we’re here for. This isn’t about moving pieces around. We need to completely flip over the chess board.”
Scialdone has been a political organizer since 1984, she said, while Burke is new to the game. He left his full time teaching job in February to dedicate his time to the Sare campaign.
(someone alert that youtube clipper] Don’t be a BOZO! Join LaRouche PAC.”
Your sentiments are in line with some comments on Long Valley Patch’s Facebook page. And as I explained there, the protest was just as newsworthy as, say, an anti-abortion or pro-choice group supporting their beliefs in town. Two people trying to explain their stance–and publicly sway others–on the current political atmosphere in front of our local post office is certainly newsworthy, in our opinion.
Some people are delighted to see such a competent, profound and impassioned display of resistance against the perpetual and omnipresent Roman circus which our world has become. Some people have a heart and are touched by the Sublime. But, evidently, not Domino!

It rarely gets more controversial than this. [...] (Bleh)
”This is outrageous … and outside the post office?! You’re all crazy!” one person shouted.
But the two young people manning the table—who said they were from Bergen County—spoke thoughtfully about their review of the last three years of the Obama administration’s policies, starting with the Haiti earthquake where—against the advice of people on the ground—”Obama chose to do nothing to move refugees out of flood zones and hundreds of poeple died of cholera unnecessary.”
“This madman is putting us on a trajectory toward the biggest of all possible atrocities, thermo-nuclear war, with his rumored agreement that Israel should launch a strike on Iran (which will lead to the annihilation of Israel) and the U.S. Navy will finish the job—leading to war with Russia and China,” the pair’s literature said.
    Thoughtfully, eh?

    Dateline Mahwah:

This is what seperates this country from the world. People have the right to speak their minds-as long as you are not preaching outright violence.Although the recent case with Ted Nugent seems to say that’s even acceptable. This freedom of speech should not be taken lightly or abused. Let’s hope it never changes.
They can’t respect the leader of our country?!? You know they can’t be taken seriously when they use a photo of the president as Hitler.
Obama should be impeached, all his personal recorrds are closed. Phony birth certificate, phony social security card and one of his best friends will be collecting the ballets in November over in Spain. Why is Spain collecting our ballots and not the USA. (Hm.)

    Dateline Linda Mar
I was informed earlier today that there were people standing outside the Linda Mar post office with placards displaying Obama with a Hitler moustache. I am sorry to report, however, that by the time I got over there with my camera, the protesters had dispersed.

    Dateline Extreme Redskin Fans!!!
I leave work and go to lunch today. Along the way, parked alongside the road I see a white truck. On the tailgate is a “Dump Obama” sign. The hood was also up, with a matching sign stuffed in there. There were several people milling about, and a small table set up with some leaflets and stuff.
Well, suffice it to say, if I was a cat, I’d be dead. I had to stop. (Mind you, at this point, I’m thinking it’s a small group of local republicans trying to drum up support among like-minded people. And I’m certainly not in favor of “four more years.”)
On the side of the truck facing AWAY from the road was another poster, forget what it said honestly, but it had “lpac” at the bottom.
    [...]
He then suggests that we need to pass something called “NAWAPA” which is going to provide us all with free electricity for the next 50 years.
OK. Now I know I’m dealing with some real friggin whackos. But I played it cool, and tried to hit on some classic conservative Obama gripes. Try to build rapport, get in these guys’ heads a little bit. I’m kind of demented….no, investigative….that way.
I hammer off Keystone, healthcare, and just for S&Gs, WTF, let’s pretend I’m a birther too.
Guy doesn’t flinch. Not only does he not flinch, he doesn’t respond! He goes back to his flyer, droning on in a monotone voice about this NAWAPA garbage.
Now I’m concerned. Something is just off. I mean way the hell, alarm bells ringing like a clock factory, off. I felt as though the dude seemed “programmed.” Or at least so utterly clueless about world events that literally the only thing he knew was what was in this flyer.
Regardless, I felt like this was something that needed to be investigated, so I spent a few more minutes trying to earn the demented robot’s trust, and left.
Cut to an hour or so ago. I get home. I look up their website. Whoa. Check that stuff out. These ****ers are WAAAAYYYY off the charts insane. It’s going to take me a while to comb through it, and figure out just how deep that insanity goes, but on the surface, it’s more than a little frightening.
Cumberland is a sleepy little town. We’re full of old, very impressionable senior citizens with money (and obviously, these guys were looking for a handout.) Our younger population is generally under-educated (read again: impressionable.) And we’re, yeah, I have to admit it, a little backward, a little racist, a little stuck in 1950.
Ultimately, I fear that a cult-style group could wreak havoc in this area. We’re just more susceptible to such things. Much more so than a better educated, more progressive (literal definition) community. We’re ripe for the picking. [[[.]
I’ve always wanted to punch a Larouche supporter.
I would strongly suggest keeping a wide berth. What good will come of engaging? Note their existence, report them if you wish, and move on with your life and things that you can positively impact.
I was playing with these guys in his earlier days of growing fame, and the then already well-established John Birchers as my two favorite “funny” political crazies of the day back when i was a teenager. I’ve told the stories here before. He was Ayn Rand-like (followers and all) in general shape of persona/effect. Also reminiscent of L. Ron Hubbard components.
I wouldn’t worry about them. When I was a teenager Leesburg Va was full of these fools. I think most people know LaRouche supporters are full on crazy. Especially in the D.C. area.
Ah, yes. I got into it with a Ladouche wacko during my college days — probably 1995 or so. A couple of them were on campus from time to time, and the head nutjob was completely off his rocker. Honestly I think he was an undiagnosed mental case, which makes the situation more sad than anything, but during the first few minutes of conversation there was little clue (beyond his Larouche sticker) that he was truly in need of help. Only after five minutes or so did his insanity reveal itself.
I told the guy that I was a technical type because I was enjoying the argument but tired of his completely physics-deficient theories about technology. His immediate response was to try to enlist me to “get the word out” about the fact that Newton flat-out stole the discovery of calculus from Leibniz. An idea which is flatly preposterous for a number of reasons.
I half-jokingly put my dorm phone number on a sign-up sheet before getting into it with the head nutjob, and he ended up repeatedly calling me at odd hours even after I told him he was a basket case and I wasn’t going to come to his meetings. It was clear that any rhetorical appeal is in play with those guys: when his pseudo-intellectual appeals went down in flames he started questioning my “personal integrity” because the sign up sheet meant I was “committing to attend meetings.” Truly bizarre. I eventually got colorful with the language and he stopped wasting both of our time.
I used to protest against these guys a bit back when I was at Montgomery College, Rockville.
Besides being pretty damn crazy, they’re basically a bunch of crooks.
(I remember them doing that on 9/11, trying to convince everyone that it was an inside job)
I also heard a lot of complaints from people who had been scammed into giving them money and then were harassed constantly afterwards.
For a while I would read through some of ther crazy **** on their website and in their magazine articles and make sure people knew what these guys were really about.
I think they would set up right outside the student union at College Park too.Oh and I even saw them at the MVA in quince orchard a few years back.

Ohhh, Eric Thomas is still out there doing his stuff.
He was one of the main guys back in the day (and his wife)

During the 1980′s I remember Larouche believed that the Pope and Margaret Thatcher invented and were selling crack cocaine on the streets of America in order to soften us up for invasion. He believed for many years a fleet of ships under the Pope was waiting off the coast of the United States to attack us.

He is Adolf Hitler in 1928 with more money, less charisma, and absent the brown shirts. Race hatred, political message, personality cult, his huge personal security apparatus which he maintained, as well as his dabbling in national politics; Two differences Hitler actually obtained power and exposed his evilness, that and Hitler wasn’t a petty thief.

"LaRouche is Right!" err, sort of. In this case, our meteorological forecasting infrastructure is heading for a new Venetian dark age.

    http://www.usatoday.com/weather/news...rms/54708804/1

The number and capability of weather satellites circling the planet "is beginning a rapid decline" and tight budgets have significantly delayed or eliminated missions to replace them, says a National Research Council analysis out Wednesday. The number of in-orbit and planned Earth observation missions by NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is projected to drop "precipitously" from 23 this year to only six by 2020, the report found.

The oracle from Leesburg once declared something like, "Any politician who fails to accurately forecast earthquakes should be thrown out of office." Granted, that was earthquakes, not April showers and May flowers. But hey! He's the one who forecast the 1958 auto sales crash.

Earthquakes, auto sales, afternoon showers -- what's the difference when you're a certified genius?

Take the case of the scoundrel known as U.S. President Andrew Jackson, for example: [What??—EB/MHK] Questions?
No! And how dare you question the greatest economic forecaster since 1837?! Do you deny Old Hickory was one of those monetarist British scum who refused to forecast earthquakes and routinely traded demagogy with THE DEAR LEADER up to the moment he was thrown out of office?

What gets me is that it is entirely possible that the same NC who yelled at her for blocking about creating a Strategy for Socialism in 1973 and failing to build NUWRO in the inner city could also be yelling at her 38 damn years later for not hitting quota in suburban Northern NJ. In between there has been endless thermonuclear war mobes, assassination plots which can only be stopped with 3 inch thick stacks of cash or credit card slips along with the IDB and convertible Ruble to save mankind. The Rockefeller Brothers came and went , but Larouche , like a McDonalds neon sign has "billions and billions" about to perish. World population has INCREASED by over 3 billion people if she was keeping score. The one place which has lost population is the numerous LC friends she had who came to their senses and took off, including the main NC who ran her region and local. He's been gone for over 20 years I think. Looks like only the "German" part of the "German Critical Thinking" series back in the early 1970s is left after several decades of giving Larouche and Helga a great life.

BTW is "Lyn" shrinking? Or are they goofing on him by lowering his seat week by week?

Herm Some shrinkage is expected, but this looks to be an inside goof job. The LYM and LYMettes in turn are being goofed on if they expect to have a Larouche Crazy free post death existence. Since lyn has everything set up with Larouche as the prefix, that will lead every and all searches to his lunacy and criminal past for ever and ever.

Helga looks like she is preparing the crew for even more laughs in the USA as they will be promoting Helga as the Savior of the universe. Interesting formula where Lyn is the Leibniz genius while Helga is the Nicholas of Cusa genius. Good luck LYM and LYMettes as you have a few more decades of card table shrining and boiling in crowded rooms to keep her happy.

What Helga is most famous for are her legendary beer farts in the security cars while cruising to suburban Northern Va shopping Malls with OPP (Other People's Money) Carefree by all accounts but full of discipline, I can see how Lyn fell big head over heels in love. Helga's legendary shopping trips and freedom from currency still carry over to this day.

..I think you need to have high-speed rail connection between the Iberian Peninsula and the rest of the Eurasian Land-Bridge! If we build a Transrapid, a maglev train from the Bering Strait, all the way to Lisbon, it's only a mere EU450 billion.

Yes, a mere $ 591, 871, 500 ,000 US Dollars can take you from sunny Lisbon Portuagal to the Bering Strait. One wonders if Helga's plan to save the galaxy are based on her travel trips. She has supported a MAGLEV from the Bering Strait to Mumbai in India as well as from Acapulco, Mexico, to Mumbai, India .I wonder if Helga pondered these vacation trips while snoozing on a jet in first class.

When the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, Helga and the international movement of Lyndon LaRouche — but especially the European grouping led by Helga in Germany — proposed a Productive Triangle of economic activity of infrastructural development to solve that crisis and provide a solution to what was the disintegration of the system of the Soviet Empire. That subsequently was elaborated into the idea of the World Land-Bridge, which Helga will also speak about today. She is the author, or co-author, of these programmatic proposals to solve the crisis.

But Helga is also an original thinker who has worked on the ideas of the great German philosopher and scientist of the 15th century, Nicholas of Cusa, who proposed and organized what became the solution to the crisis that almost destroyed civilization in the 14th century, the Black Death. Nicholas of Cusa was the author or the architect of modern science and also of the sovereign nation-state — profound concepts, perhaps difficult ones, which are necessary for solving today's situation. .....

    Hello Mr. Larouche;

I have a couple of questions to ask you with regards to your townhall on Skype yesterday.

    1. Why is Ron Paul not fit to be President?

    2. I understand that Wall Street and other international financial institutions gambled and now want us to pay for their losses; however, when you say let them fail how with that effect the 401k's or bank accounts of the everyday citizens? In my opinion that is how they trapped us into paying for their gambling debts so your CD's, 401k, etc. don't go to zero.

We both now that FDIC guarantee means nothing, correct?

    Sincerely, XXXXX

    1. His opposition of the urgent reestablishment of both (a) Reenactment of Glass-Steagall (without which the U.S. economy were immediately doomed to collapse; and (b) his failure to recognize the fact that without the combination of Glass-Steagall a return to Hamiltonian National Banking, the U.S. economy is doomed to a virtually immediate collapse. In economics, Ron Paul and his son are both a pair of dangerous idiots at this juncture.

    2. The U.S. Treasury must not be obliged to pay gambling debts, not even Wall Street's and London's hopeless worthless gambling debts.

    - - Lyndon.
The cult should love that and promote it endlessly since they are busy carpetbagging the Ron Paul / ALex Jones venues and this will go over great. I also love how Lyn will have the US treasury conduct their debt obligations and contracts the same way he ran the cult's finances.

Lyndon LaRouche Supporters Advocate In Downtown Madison
Two Boston-based LaRouche supporters, set up at the corner of Boston Post Road and Wall Street under the town clock, prompt a wide array of reactions, including anger, curiosity, and enthusiasm.

Maria Channon and Frank Mathias, Boston-based supporters of Lyndon LaRouche, set up a small booth and placard at the corner of Boston Post Road and Wall Street Monday afternoon. Featured prominently on the booth and placard were doctored photos of President Barack Obama with a Hitler mustache.

Channon and and Mathias handed out literature, and engaged locals in conversation about their group's effort to impeach President Obama, restore the Glass-Steagall Act, and build support for continental water management.

LaRouche, a highly controversial political figure, is condemned by some as a cult leader. He is characterized as his supporters as a kind of "necessary leader for a time of existential crisis."

Reaction to him in downtown Madison late Monday afternoon included curiosity, enthusiasm for the impeach Obama notion, and, from at least one man, anger.

"I know LaRouche," one man shouted angrily, approaching Channon and Mathias, then walking away. "He's a nut! He's a nut!"

He declined to be identified, as did several young men who stopped and asked for information, either expressing support or sheer curiosity. Many others walked by indifferently or declined to be engaged in debate.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Channon and Mathias politely and cheerfully initiated sincere conversations about their concern that Obama might start another war.

    Another war?

"Libya!" Mathias responded, adding that he thought the only way to stop Obama was to impeach him. "He went to NATO and the UN, and only let Congress know after the fact."

Channon expressed her concern about what might happen if Glass-Steagall is not reinstated. "We need to separate investment banks from commercial banks," she said, "for the entire trans-Atlantic banking system."

They also argued in favor of NAWAPA XXI, which they characterized as a "continental system of water regulation."

Channon and Mathias said the reaction to their work in Madison has been mixed. "You get all types," Mathias said. "But many have been positive."

Channon and Mathias said they similarly took their show on the road about three years ago, that time arguing against "Dick Cheney and his crew." Cheney was former President George Bush W. Bush's vice president.

"Three years ago we organized against the neo-con crowd and Dick Cheney," Channon said. "It's the same enemy coming from both parties, the Wall Street oligarchy."

LaRouche on the Pennington County agenda
    By David Montgomery (@rcjMontgomery)

Nestled at the bottom of this week’s Pennington County Commission agenda is an interesting item: “Request for support of congressional bills HCR107, HR1489 and the NAWAPA water project – LaRouche PAC.”

The movement of perennial presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche is largely before my time (though they had a resurgence a few years back with protests against President Barack Obama’s health care reform proposals), but I know enough that the name jumped out immediately to me.

Wikipedia has an extensive article on the LaRouche movement, including its stances and conflicts. (Apparently it “characterizes itself as a Platonist Whig movement which favors re-industrialization and classical culture, and which opposes what it sees as the genocidal conspiracies of Aristotelian oligarchies such as the British Empire.”)

So what is the LaRouche PAC doing on the agenda at Tuesday’s Pennington County Commission meeting?

They want the commission to “urge Kristi Noem to endorse the following:”

HCR 107: A resolution declaring that only Congress can declare war, and that therefore if the president uses military force in the absence of an actual, immediate threat to the U.S., “he has committed an impeachable act.”
HR 1489: Restoring the Glass-Steagall Act, which regulated banking activities, which the group says will cause “the fountain of worthless funny money and speculation in financial derivatives” to “collapse.”
The North American Water and Power Alliance, which will “turn the Great American Desert into a garden, solve the nation’s critical water problems” and create 5.5 million “well-paid, industrial, productive jobs” (emphasis in original). Wikipedia describes that plan as a proposal to reroute Alaskan rivers through Canada into the American west, one that came “very close to realization” in the 1950s and 1960s.
Alongside those requests the PAC submits numerous pages of information on all three requests. I’ve embedded those documents below.

Of note: the person signing the memos is one Mark Fairchild, who achieved prominence in 1986 when he won the Democratic primary in Illinois for lieutenant governor. That led presumptive Democratic nominee Adlai Stevenson III to refuse to run on the same ballot; he started his own party and lost in a landslide to the Republican nominee.

That post-it note on the front page of the top document was put there by the commission assistant; LaRouche representative Ron Wieczorek, who lost the 1998 South Dakota Democratic Congressional primary, was the one who dropped off the initial packet of information. Wieczorek considered speaking at the public comment period at the commission’s last meeting; he or Fairchild will probably present the LaRouche information at Tuesday’s meeting:

    Thad Wasson Says:

Someone tell these LaRoche guys that congress hasn’t declared war since Bill Welsh and the Claremont Honkers got their first six man football championship.

Demonstrators Cause a Stir Outside Wayland Post Office
Wayland's Boston Post Road U.S. Post Office was the latest stop for the political action committee.

    By Brooklyn Lowery
    Email the author
    May 2, 2012
A small table set up alongside Boston Post Road in front of the U.S. Post Office drew honks, waves and comments Wednesday as demonstrators called for the impeachment of President Barack Obama.
The two demonstrators manning the table at about 11 a.m. explained that they were volunteers with the LaRouche Political Action Committee. Wayland wasn't specifically selected, but was merely a stop along their demonstration route that includes stops at post offices throughout New England.

A demonstrator who declined to give his name said the purpose of the presentations is to organize supporters and raise money for the group's efforts, a key goal of which is to "get Obama out and rebuild the country."

Posters of Obama with a mustache made famous by Adolf Hitler hung from the table. The demonstrator said the depiction was representative of their belief that Obama's policies mimic those of Hitler.

The volunteer said that the PAC became particularly active following the passage of the Affordable Care Act which he said is reminiscent of Hitler's own policies toward healthcare.

As post office customers came and went, the demonstrators called to them to come to the table and learn more about the LaRouche PAC's efforts. A few individuals did come to the table either to chat quietly or to vehemently disagree. A couple of people declined to come closer, but replied from a distance that they found the message "offensive."

Wayland Police Chief Bob Irving said in an email that dispatch had received a few calls about the demonstration, but the demonstrations involved "some people exercising their right to free speech on a public sidewalk."

"Should it become a hazard for traffic or create any other impediment to public safety," Irving continued in his email, "we will work with the protesters/organizers to insure [sic] that their, and everyone else’s, rights and public safety are protected."

The demonstrator indicated that they planned to remain at the table until about 5 p.m. Wednesday

We can have the LYM and LYMettes do a compare and contrast between a card table shrine with an elderly LCer who after 38 years is at the card table shrine vs a new set here. Lyndon LaRouche & His Shadowy Political Machine
    Written by Alex Newman

Followers of Lyndon LaRouche have attracted a great deal of attention in recent years for provocative statements like posters featuring President Obama with an Adolf Hitler-style Nazi mustache aimed at building pressure for impeachment. LaRouche himself describes Obama as a “British tool” - part of a complex plot that seeks to dominate the world.

Even with a cadre of extraordinarily dedicated followers, however, LaRouche, his views, and his movement have attracted a barrage of criticism from all angles. Opponents have accused him of leading a “cult,” making extreme demands on his supporters, spreading anti-Semitism and disinformation, being variously either a right- or left-wing extremist, using unsavory tactics to push his agenda, and much more.

Though often overlooked in the media and the world of politics, LaRouche also wields some influence, though just how much remains unclear. He controls, for instance, a vast network of entities ranging from publications and cultural initiatives to “intelligence”-gathering operations and even political parties on the other side of the Atlantic.

There is also a “Worldwide LaRouche Youth Movement” and a “LaRouche Political Action Committee.” And LaRouche himself has run for President of the United States on more than a few occasions — first on the U.S. Labor Party ticket but more often by seeking the Democratic Party’s nomination.

But who is LaRouche and what does he really believe? Over a period of decades, LaRouche’s self-described political agenda has varied. And it is without a doubt extraordinarily complicated, drawing from an array of philosophers and even controversial political figures like former U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Apparently LaRouche is a big fan of the dubious New Deal, which ushered in an era of unprecedented government power in the U.S. that expanded far outside the bounds of the Constitution. And much of his efforts in the political sphere are dedicated to reforming the American government in a way that would grant politicians broad authority to intervene in the economy.

“At the present moment, the world at large is trapped in an onrushing general breakdown-crisis whose principal pathological feature is the lunatic spread of what is generally identified as ‘financial derivatives,’ ” LaRouche told the free market-oriented Daily Bell in a 2010 interview when asked about the most pressing issue facing the world. Stopping a looming third World War between the East and West that LaRouche believes is currently being orchestrated is also a high priority on his agenda.

Blasting the Austrian school of economics as a “fraud” and the legendary Adam “Invisible Hand” Smith as “disgusting,” LaRouche said government power was needed to fix the problem. “A return to a fixed exchange-rate credit system of a type consistent with a Glass-Steagall standard, combined with a return to a fixed-exchange-rate system, is the absolute requirement for evading a global breakdown-crisis during the immediate period ahead,” he explained in the Daily Bell interview.

LaRouche began his surge to prominence decades ago as a radical Marxist, organizing the National Caucus of Labor Committees on the backs of extreme far-left student groups. Today he blasts neo-cons like George W. Bush as well as President Obama, but has largely moved away from overt calls to abolish capitalism entirely — though his political outlook still seeks to erect vast government powers over much of the economy.

LaRouche describes himself as the world’s “leading economist” and the “most successful forecaster on record” since the mid- to late-1950s. He became independently wealthy by developing computer software. And as with most leaders and their followers, analysts say LaRouche and his supporters believe that if they were in power, the world’s problems could largely be solved.

One of the LaRouche apparatus’s main targets is still the ruling British elite — from the monarchy on down. LaRouche has always been opposed to what he describes as “imperialism” and “colonialism,” but in his world view, one of the key power centers resides in the United Kingdom. According to LaRouche, the Queen is even engaged in international drug trafficking, and the British Empire’s tentacles still hold much of the globe in an iron grip.

Of course, LaRouche also criticizes wealthy banking dynasties like the unimaginably powerful Rothschild family, which play a large role in world affairs even if it is mostly hidden from public view. And the money cartel created by wealthy bankers is another one of the issues LaRouche focuses on to draw in followers.

But while LaRouche’s views on the monetary system sometimes resonate with advocates of sound money — at least initially — his statements hardly outline a plan to move toward a free market-based system. Like honest-money activists, LaRouche supports ending the privately owned Federal Reserve monopoly. He has also expressed support for a gold standard.

However, instead of abolishing the U.S. central bank and replacing it with nothing, LaRouche and his supporters want to erect a national bank controlled by government instead. Apparently the views of Alexander Hamilton, a strong proponent of a government-run monetary authority in early America, represent a key influence behind LaRouche’s views on money.

Beyond currency centralization, LaRouche also pushes tight government control over the broader economic system. He supports, for example, state power over financial capital and intervention in the economy to keep interest rates artificially low if needed. The goal, supposedly, is to increase “production.”

Aside from economic and monetary matters, many of LaRouche’s supporters are initially attracted to the movement by an array of positions that match their own. LaRouche is generally anti-war, for example. His opposition to radical United Nations “solutions” to address supposed “climate change” — formerly known as “global warming” and still based on largely discredited UN theories about humanity’s role in the process — have won him some supporters, too.

Cultural elements play a big part in his recruitment efforts as well, with LaRouche supporters organizing all manner of conferences and talks supposedly related to classical music or similar fields. According to people who have attended such events, however, they tend to end up being used to push LaRouche’s views and collect more followers.

Of course, the vast apparatus created by LaRouche — “Making men in my own image was the conscious articulation of my central purpose from approximately 1946,” he reportedly wrote in his 1979 autobiography — has been the subject of numerous controversies over the years. In 1989, for instance, LaRouche was sentenced to 15 years in prison for mail fraud and tax evasion supposedly linked to his fundraising. He got out early.

LaRouche’s alliances have also been controversial, including his associations with the Nation of Islam. All sorts of allegations about LaRouche continue to surface, too, and although some may be realistic, others are probably not. He often characterizes his opponents as “agents” of the British elite seeking to destroy him and stymie his efforts to save the world.

But some former members and employees of the LaRouche machine also maintain that their ex-leader should indeed be scrutinized far more closely — especially because of the intense financial and time commitments expected from followers. One group of former LaRouche backers even set up a website to expose what they say is his duplicity and the sinister nature of his organization, even describing LaRouche’s personality and behavior as that of a “psychopath.”

LaRouche, his supporters, and his critics all claim that it is impossible to neatly classify his views using modern political labels or ideas. That is probably true — indeed, some of his statements often seem contradictory.

Essentially, though, the overriding theme appears to be that if LaRouche were in power, the world would be a much better place. But while he does correctly identify at least a few widely agreed upon problems facing the U.S. and the planet, his proposed “solutions” should almost certainly be taken with a grain of salt at the very least.

Don't expect any shrinkage from my man John.

Interesting. The New American is the publication of The John Birch Society. (Last I checked, it is catalouged in Google News, but under the parentheses "John Birch Society".) This sort of follows along the lines of the AIM piece by Cliff Kincaid that focused on Larouche by way of Alex Jones. I suppose a warning, and Considering the Birch society is all agog on Ron Paul, it makes this interesting...

From what I know, in the 70's and 80's some Birchers were arguing that LaRouche was somehow a Soviet agent due to his abrupt transition from the doctrines of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Trotsky (and Luxemburg, who actually still has a good reputation inside LaRoucheland) to the doctrine of the valiant struggle against the descendants of the Babylonian whore-god usurers or whatever.

PS - I've been away for a while. HAS ANYONE MENTIONED YET THAT SUMMER SHIELDS HAS DISAPPEARED?!!!

    http://larouchepac.com/campaigns WHERE DID HE GO???
Well, you know, I did notice that he had vanished from the roundup of candidates. And Sky Shields hasn't appeared lately on the Weekly Whatsis with Lyn, John Hoefle, etc.

Also missing--has anyone noticed?--"friend." I think the posts about Scott Gaulke, etc., must have done it.

Or maybe the lawyers said (again), "Jeez, that's not very helpful."

Maybe future EIR issues, when reminiscing about the wonderful words of LaRouche on the occasion of (insert circa 2009-2011 Weekly Report stuff), will Photoshop Sky Shields out of old screencaps.

"And then both Cerretani and Hoefle laughed at LaRouche's marvelous joke about chimpanzees. In this Weekly Report the three had discussed a great many things vital to humanity as we know it..." as the western portion of the table looks suspiciously empty.

From the latest Discussion with the Larouche Slate (WE MISS YOU SUMMER!!!!):

At about 21:00, after a few minutes of talking again, in particularly ego-maniacal fashion, about his past successes in forecasting and the SDI victory and his continual persecution by his enemies, you can hear Larouche utter the following: "The Obama administration has been running operations against me for years, especially since 1989."

Listen to him for a few minutes before and after that if you have the time. It's getting scary.
