poe.. I agree 101% with you. But on the other hand research is needed and therefore names need to be put forward...
I name the names when I am talking about current members that go out in the open on the internet, but when talking about former members, and sometimes current members, I try not to name the names IN FULL. Except for a few exceptions. The persons that go out in public, like David Goldman, and when needed with people that still follow some kind of LaRouchian method, like Webster Ta. (It was not needed now!) Some of the founders of the LC are definitely some of the people that in some cases SHOULD be mentioned.
Eaglebeak mentioned these people:
Peter Orszag, Larry Summers, Felix Rohatyn, George Soros, Nancy Pelosi. If they had been former LC- members I would actually write something like. Peter Orsz.. Larry Summ... , Felix Rohat.. , George Soro. , and Nancy pe.... If someone needs the spelling that could be exchanged via mail.
If they were current members and youth I might call them Peter. O, Larry S, even!
Just a proposal. they would be identifiable but not searchable. It is a proposal that we try to think about this when we talk about people in the LC.
I think we would make it easier for people to join the discussion if names were not written in full here all the time.
Do you agree???

(But the shouting Larry Freeman deserves his name in full!)

You are right that there is no comparison. I left years before you did, and I never knew Tony P. that well when I was in, but, to my knowledge, Tony never searched through the garbage of his political enemies and turned over what he found to police agencies like Dennis and Chip have done. Lyn is clearly lying when he says that Molly was a government agent for several decades, but, he is 100% correct when he says the same thing about her new friend Mr. King.

I think this is directed at me for this comment:
"And the “Old Mole Files” TONY Award Goes to . . .
. . . Tony Papert! For the best pre-Dennis King performance in the role of an ex-PLer trying to cuddle up to the right wing of the Socialist Internatonal.
Tony's billet-doux he exchanged with the soon-to-be SDUSA in the pages of New America took place way back when in a magical time. So let’s go Slytherin back to YE OLDE MOLE FYLES to learn more."
The attempt here was to highlight Tony Papert hanging out with SDUSA in 1969 by an ironic comparison to the mucho LC-demonized King. To turn this one line into a serious comparison between Dennis King and Tony Papert is to make a mountain out of an Old Mole File.
I've long made it clear what I like and dislike about King here.
Anyway my attempt at an ironic catchy lead was the discernible reason you didn't discern. So you are night "no comparison indeed" because the said comparison never existed in the first place.

What a great Saturday morning! The sun is shining, the kids are still asleep, the dog and I had a great early morning walk. I have some household chores to take care of, some early shopping and then a care free day to enjoy. No card table shrines. No sweatting in a boiler room today. No jackass NC talking about bond prices and how Lyn's life is in danger unless we somehow raise a 100,000 dollars today and we will be organising until midnight to safeguard Lyn.
I bring this all up because just about everyone here has had that moment when you enjoy something and for a split second, have a flashback to the horrific time in your naive life when you spent your time in a LYMster style hamster wheel. Some of us have suffered a lot and have lost a lot. To those, we do our part in posting here and letting the world know how this cult works and further pushing Lyn into his grave as we shovel facts and fallacies on top of him. The grave is dug and the suffocating is under way as Lyn gets loonier and loonier as the number of sycophants, ready to place their lips on his to resuscitate, grows smaller and smaller with each passing day.
Bruce Director, probably on his way to a local Leesburg highway just as I write this ,could come to his senses and just place the DNR order on Lyn and salvage what he can of his life. Bruce, you are the head of legal, you have all of those Lyn cross examinations where he tells you directly what a scam he has doing. Before you leave, can you send us as many transcripts as possible?
You see Bruce, it is not like it was in 2001 when the build up for Iraq temporarily blinded some college kids into taking the LYM seriously. Take a look at the members and see that the LYM have been doing what your boomer friends have been doing in just not showing up one day and just fading away. Most LCers seem to leave after an average of 7 years I have found in doing the math. 7 years is the Bell Curve distribution and we are at that time for many of the LYM and LYMettes. Since 2000, we have peaked a few years later and now are on the down swing. The college work did hit a peak to the point that the articles about the LYM hit a plateau after the Duggan death and the death spiral accelerated after the Ken Kronberg Death.
Now, the LYM is considered a college joke where only a freshman without an internet connection seems to take you seriously. 300 million or so dollars , 40 years of organising and what do we have Bruce?
You are at a card table shrine while a founding SDS member like Steve Komm is at a card table shrine. Most of the boomers in the regions are at card table shrines and nearing 60.
In a few days, we will have the one year anniversary of the death of Gary Generazzio and John Morris Bruce. Care to explain to us how LPAC grossed over 7 million that year , yet could not fill up a f'ing gas tank in a LaroucheMobile? The joke Bruce is that in the Bizarro world you live in, you probably look over your shoulder and check the Larouchemobile for explosives every now and then to reinforce the charade of being important instead of checking the dipstick for oil and the gas tank for fuel.
The cult makes some blogs and the results are hillarious.
Here is the marching orders by Lyn on LPAC which just have to be read slowly to see how deranged the final exit is becoming.
No More Confusion: LaRouche Says "The Only Solution Is Mine"
June 10, 2009 (LPAC)--When Lyndon LaRouche was briefed this afternoon on the threat of China breaking with the dollar, he issued the following statement to end any confusion that may still exist on the matter.
If the dollar were dumped by Russia putting pressure on China to do so, then we would see the complete disintegration of the planet. The only solution is mine. Obama's a disaster, and all aspects of his current policy are a disaster. What we need to do is take an American System approach which is my proposal. Without that approach of mine, of establishing international agreements between Russia, China, India, and the U.S., the planet as a whole cannot and will not survive.
We're pulling rank.
The United States government and other nations have all failed, and because of that, we are on the verge of plunging in a planetary-wide new dark age for all humanity for many generations to come. There is one solution, take it, otherwise there is no possibility. Only my policies will work, forget all other programs, none of them will work. And anyone who opposes what I am proposing, for the sake of civilization should go to hell.
Here is one which shows you how the world wide intervention to save humanity is going. You have to go to the comments to see the forcefull intervention by "LaroucheIsRight

LaRouche ****ing People Off: A lesson to progressives

Today walking back to my hotel in Seattle I saw a few booths with a few Larouche youngsters passing out pamphlets. The first booth showed a picture of Pelosi with a banner saying: Impeach Pelosi. Interesting. I've never been a great fan of hers myself. The reason for impeaching Pelosi, they said, was because of the bailouts. Fair enough I moved on.
The next booth made burst out laughing. On two corners were pictures of President Obama wearing a Hitler mustache and read "Ban the Nazi-HMOs! I stopped, took a picture, then laughingly walked away.
A few feet later I stopped. I just couldn't pass without expressing myself to these youngsters.
michlawa2's diary :: ::
I approached and asked them if they were aware that the President had a 63% approval rating (64% I realize now!) and he said, "We're are not interested in being popular".
"We are not interested in being popular we are interested in defeating HMO's."
"Fair enough," I said, "Is this the best way to effect the change you seek? Comparing a popular president to Adolf Hitler?"
"He is like Hitler! The Nazis did not start by killing the jews.. (there followed a short/flawed history of Nazi Germany)"
"I agree with you on single-payer health care, and probably many other issues. This is the wrong way to go about influencing people like me to fight with you or influencing those who may be open-minded to your ideas..."
"We are not interested in changing people's minds--"
"Are you going to have a violent uprising or something then?"
"We should talk more I have a lot of work to do unless youre going to help us..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is a lesson in that exchange for us progressives. Too often we forget that our mission is to actually accomplish change not to vent our frustration at the way the world works. This requires changing people's minds, giving like-minded people avenues to use their energy, and plenty of careful effort to not alienate people.
The LaRouche kids, by having that photo (which I will try to post but I am on a public computer and its difficult) instantly eliminated many people that may have contributed or fought with them.
It is important to remember this even when we fight against someone as clearly damaging to our country as the last administration. Demonizing them can have a nasty affect on people that may ultimately agree that Bush et. al. broke the law. Let's guard ourselves against becoming like the LaRouche folks.
My pet issue is Afghanistan. It is easy for me to sometimes accuse the President of being "no different than Bush" which is no more true than to say that he is no more different the Hitler. It is ridiculous.
It is far easier to spot externally than internally. For our cause to move foward we must be more alert than the LaRouche folks and twice as active. That is what I took from the exchange.
They crash all our events, seem to be otherwise sane and presentable young people albeit with an unusual prediliction to choral singing (true), and then they open their mouths and start talking crazy.
I don't think most what's interesting is any kind of organizing lesson we can draw from them, but rather what has happened in their lives to make them so desperate for solidartiy and community that they end up there.
with all due respect, you could have made the same point without bringing LaRouchies into the discussion at all.
I've never had a Democratic peer start ranting that people with AIDs needed to be sent to an 'AIDs Island' to die in a place where their 'faggot plague' couldn't 'taint' the rest of us.
But I have had it happen with a LaRouche supporter in my time.
Lyndon LaRouche and his followers turn and have turned people off with more than their hyperbole and offensive visual overreaches failing to help them gain an audience.... sometimes it was the substance of what they believed in that was the problem and no amount of being more aware of successful messaging techniques would have made what they wanted fly with most people.
As somebody who found himself inexplicably facing three completely enraged LaRouchies screaming 'get AIDs and die!' at nobody in particular and suddenly throwing random punches into the crowds at a T Station in Boston in the early 1990's... I kinda reject any even incidental comparison between somebody not realizing that there is politics and politics, and somebody who is bat**** nuts.
It's been my experience (a fair number when I went to college, and some that have turned up at presidential caucuses) that they always seem combative, like they're thrusting their chin out daring someone to hit them. I think the "We are not interested in changing people's minds--" when they are out pamphleting (isn't that supposed to inform people so they change their minds?) bit is so strangely appropriate to all my interactions with them. They're an example of left wing authoritarians in the sense that they have to be opposed to the status quo and the majority. If they were to actually win anything, they'd disintegrate from the inner conflict of now "being the man".
definitely not left wing (0+ / 0-)
closer to right wing, but I'm not sure they have any wings at all. Maybe propeller beanies.
He must be 110. The first time I encountered his droids was in 1969. They may seem ridiculous but it is important to note that their fundamental arguement has always been a bizarre kind of anti-semitism, linking the British royal family, the Rothschilds etc etc in huge and convuluted illuminati-style conspiracies. Although I have not seen their crap in recent years, I'd guess they are focusing on Jewish members of the Obama administration.
Yes, in 1990, in Munich.
Of all the freaking places...Munich!
Anyway, it was one guy, relatively tall but skinny and really dorky looking. He had a table with various pamphlets, etc.
A couple of people were looking. I went over and took a look also...I couldn't read anything because it was all in German.
The guy approaches me, I tell him I don't speak German. "Amerikaner?" He spoke English. I tell him yes, and ask him how can he distribute stuff from LaRouche, American's own little fascist? He goes into some stuff about how I'm believing the lies of the media.
I reply by saying something to the effect of, "Listen, I'm a history teacher. I read a lot. I don't need news media to tell me anything. Your pushing the work of a bigot and a fascist in country that should know a lot better."
He starts to walk away from me. I follow him seeing an opportunity as there were a couple people (I remember a woman in particular.) looking.
I raise my voice, not to a scream, just louder and say, "How can try to distribute this NS garbage?" "LaRouche's ideas are just a step away from NS."
For those that don't know- NS is National Socialism. In Germany, well... you know.... I said the magic word.
That woman looked at me and dropped the pamphlet she had in her hand like it was on fire. Another person who was walking up to take a look, did a quick turn away. The LaRouchie himself, tried to push me away (gently...nothing like a shove), and then he started packing up his propaganda.
My job done...I walked away with a smile.
they came on as a lefty group, the US Labor Party, and for a while were able to pass themselves off in the crowd of variously paranoid and deluded sects that were popping up at the time. It quickly became clear that they only employed leftist rhetoric as a tool to attack actual leftist groups, either verbally or with physical violence. One night in 1974 I got a visit from 3 Larouchians, who had come to strongarm my roommate, who who happened to be out. They said that he had been going around town claiming to represent them, but then giving them a bad name by babbling a bunch of crazy bull****. Now, my roommate always babbled crazy bull****, but nothing he could come up with could rival the LaRouchians' own crazy bull****. He was just trying to support the cause in his own inept way.
The kicker is that my girlfriend recognized one of the goons as a college classmate, and later confronted him about it. He said that that they were were all scared ****less as they mounted the stairs to my pad, believing that they were about to mix it up with a CIA cell, armed and ruthless.
back in the sixties/early seventies they went by National Caucus of Labor Committees (NCLC) and published a scabrous and unreadable paper. They only started the US Labor Party in 72 as a bid to enter electoral politics.
Here is what I think of the latest marching orders by Lyn
Part of me can't help but think that this is the last sick joke Lyn is playing on the cult marks by having them go out daily with the slogan and pictures of Obama as Hilter. The other part of me thinks that the combo of Lyn's delusions, his warped mental prowess will always contribute to making sure that everything the cult does will always fail.
This intensive effort of making Obama = Hitler to me is comparable to what happened back in the 1980s with us being perpetually associated with "The Queen of England is a drug pusher". The last remaining LYMsters are no longer Jewish and to them, WW2 and Nazism are mere words which as BorisMaglev points out, allow an older con artist veteran to bamboozle a 20 something drop out. There are no Jewish parents to tell their kids in the cult that this whole Obama = Hilter thing is a slap in their face. The remaining Jews in the cult have had their Jewishness slapped out of them a long time ago.
To the remaining LYM and LYMsters, the time they have remaining in the cult will now be spent always having to be associated with both the Queen of England and Obama = Nazi with the mustache card table signs. Thanks to the internet, anyone will look up the cult and find those beliefs of the cult and immediatley come to the same conclusions the Daily Kos blog comes to.
Think about this Bruce when you scrape a few bucks for flowers to place on Lyn's grave and kneel on the sod in the soon to be future. Who had the last laugh on your life?
This line from the DailyKos pretty much sums it up Bruce.
[What follows is a very slightly edited e-mail from a former leading member of the Australian LaRouche movement who managed to get out. He has given me permission to reprint his statement. He also worked very closely with Al Douglas, the "American controller" of the group.
For more background on Australia, see the numerous FactNet posts by me on Don Veitch's book on the organization.-- HH]
This organization cost me my marriage and my health. Shortly after my wife and I left, I could not even work again. A few months later the marriage went down. I had a mental breakdown and walked out of my front door with just the shirt on my back and never returned to Australia since.
This organization destroyed me. I guess if I was not so strong I could have finished up like Ken Kronberg. Every time I was in Leesburg (which was 3 to 4 times a year), he always wanted me to come down to Sterling and spend some time with him. He did tell me the organization owed him a lot of money. So I would say he was driven into debt for all that printing.
To the story...
Don [Veitch] recruited me to the organization. I was his law student, and he kept always dropping hints about all these conspiracies and then he started feeding me 3 week old daily briefings, well I was hooked. I had heard all about this John Birch Society stuff, but this was amazing, they had the inside track on our news before it even happened, or so I thought at the time. There was no organization in Melbourne. Don found the building and then I met Craig and Noelene and we moved in. I had a thriving computer consulting practice. When I met Al, he accepted I could work 3 days a week. They soon pressured me into going to Leesburg and stop all business. My wife did not accept it, but I still did as Al wanted. A year later I brought my wife in, at the insistence of Al and the executive, to be a receptionist. They had her in the boiler room before long. I was very idealistic and after reading Lyn's Science of a Christian Economy, I was ready to save the world from itself.
Of course I worked extremely closely with Al, because I am the one Don referred to as Martin Strange, head of intelligence and counterintelligence.
It started out just clipping newspaper articles and faxing them to Al in Leesburg and he would write slugs. Al was always trying to paint how bad things were there, and the slugs were spiced up to the point they were unrecognizable. Plus Al had newspaper clipping files of his own from years back and knew more about Australia than most. I was given BBS access before long and uploaded slugs I had written, firstly to Al, and then directly to the briefing editor.
I was a founding member of the Australian NEC and of course a member of the ICLC once I had been through their cadre school. I went to the classes with mostly farmers, but I was always called out to learn the finer art of counterintelligence. First it was undercover calls to the State Department or some Liberation Theology priest. It was a lot of fun. I met Lyn at the big house for 3 hours (all arranged by Al). In fact I met Lyn on about 6 occasions. I even interviewed him in prison for a few hours. I also visited Mike Billington in prison.
So basically I came back as a fully trained spy. Don is right. But I was basically doing the job that Don had done before. But Don did not enjoy this part of the work. He would visibly shake when he had to make an undercover call, and just wanted to get off the phone. Al always made me report on his calls which made him even more nervous. No one ever knew what I was doing there. I took my orders directly from Al in Leesburg or wherever he was, Russia, South Africa, Germany, etc etc. I was always off to libraries for months at a time. Infiltrating the Z-lobby or the IS [International Socialist Organization -- a Trotsky sect -- HH] time and time again, until they had all their guards up for me all the time. Always looking for that elusive scrap of proof their boss was a secret Mossad colonel. Well as you know he sued Don and the CEC for defamation of character. The embellishments Al put into the "Is the ADC Spying on You?" document assured a win for the Z-lobby. Yes I worked on that case for over a year too. Australia does not have freedom of expression particularly in slandering someone.
It became an almost surreal life, 5 hour national executive committee conference calls every day with Al from Leesburg. Suddenly I am flying all over the place meeting senior politicians, infiltrating CAN [Cult Awareness Network -- HH] operatives, you name it, I am under their skin. I never got caught, except I came close to infiltrating the Mont Pelerin Society director. He smelled something, but I still got him. I would spend hours on the phone doing undercover calls to a member of the House of Lords in England. They really hated me. The word was out on me. It became a big espionage game, but it was real.
Money was no object. I never got involved in fundraising, but of course everyone was a boiler of some kind, getting your contacts to sign up to EIR. Al just pulled me every way. I was his fix it man in Melbourne.
Now Robert Pash, I never met him, but I did meet Ali Kazak, the head of the PLO mission and use to meet him every time I was in Canberra (which was often). Al had some strong connections with the PLO.
It's funny that after I had this nervous breakdown, most of the names become blurry. I guess I am blocking, huh. Don used to call these ego stripping sessions "Psychobabble". When I decided to get out I told Al exactly what he was looking for. He raved and ranted for hours, "I knew it, I knew it" and let him think his session had finally struck to the root. It had to be something to do with my mother. The whole Oedipus complex. I knew the revelation that I was in an incestuous relationship with my mother was just what he was looking for.
Anyway, Don's recollection of things is accurate. The Searchlight piece that described the CEC activities is biased, so I would not rely on this.
Today I am remarried and left Australia for good. One thing I am grateful for is the organization sponsored me and my then wife on a 50 day European tour, and it really opened up my horizons. We visited so many European locals in so many countries. The cultural aspect of the LaRouche organization was a good offset to the mostly wicked side. I guess they spent a lot of money on me and had big plans for me. What a disappointment I must have been to Al and Lyn.
I was more or less constantly with their top spies in Leesburg when I was there. I stayed at Tony Chaitkin's once, but also Jeff and Michelle Steinbergs. I always admired Rich and Mary-Jane Freeman for their long hours; Scott Thompson struck me as weird, as did Tony Papert. He always looked like he was ready to burst out in tears.
My life could have been destroyed by this organization if I had let them. They taught me to lie bare-faced, but I fooled them all. I worked out what they were looking for and gave it to them to stop them trying to strip me with that mind control stuff. Well actually I let them think they had stripped me.
Fortunately, the sexual references have stopped on factnet. That gives me less stomach problems.
I think your suggestion on factnet about how to refer to former members and current members is a very good one.
I'd like to see more people on factnet - and I do think that the display of "LaRouchian behavior" by former members sort of turns off other people who would otherwise participate.
What is this "LaRouchian" behavior?:
1. Really long posts. For crying out loud - some of these posts outdo LaRouche in his "scientific breakthroughs which will of course help in our supposed development". Some factnet members - however - I must commend their efforts for keeping their posts - a paragraph or two - usually plenty of material for thought in a few sentences.
2. In depth analysis of certain people -
this is really a carry over of being in the LaRouche cult - as we would always read an in-depth analysis of the political figure of the day - whether it be Aristotle or Obama.
I have to admit - I find myself getting caught up reading this stuff - but one really has to ask themselves - why am I so interested in this - are other people? (no)
3. Mocking - it's interesting that some people on fact-net refer to long-time members as "dead-enders" (you might want to practice more empathy here - a trait which the LaRouche cult wipes out in new recruits and apparently is long lasting in some cases) and that the LaR cult themselves also refer to baby boomer members as "dead-enders".
There are other LaR behaviors - but I'd be violating the first behavior I mentioned if I write much more.
I promise you - I have been guilty myself - of all I've mentioned - and I'm writing this in hopes of basically helping others.
I realize - I'll probably get some criticism - and I can't claim all I write is very scintific - or accurate - it comes mostly from my gut.
You may post this on fact-net - it might generate some good discussion - hopefully.
My response for "Xer" to his/her most recent post.
I understand where you are coming from and I appreciate all the info you've posted - (but I do believe shorter more concise posts are more useful - you might try breaking long posts into several shorter ones.)
LaR is being consistent in his views. His Obama with a Hitler mustache is no different than claiming Carter was planning to ship welfare recipients into box cars. So it's not any crazier - it's always been crazy.
What seems to me - more crazier - and more dangerous - is the pressure being put on new recruits, and people still inside the cult.
As the recent Holocaust museum shooting shows, LaR at 87 - has a greater chance - of actually ordering his followers to do something violent - and those that remain - actually might be crazy enough to obey.
Remember, it's the group pressure, deception, and making the person feel he's got that "special stuff" to help save the world that makes someone drop out of college and join the group. No one would ever joined the group on their own - by just reading the material on their own. Though recruitment may, in fact, be decreasing - it really only takes someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time - to get recruited.
I don't have any "death-wish" for LaR like you. When-ever that happens - it happens - and it isn't necessarily going to make the cult - "go away".
I think the best we can do, is educate people as to how it is a cult and have empathy for people who are still in - and be able to provide some help to their relatives and friends - who have seen the person they use to know - been turned into a slave for LaR.
I was inclined to consider Chris Hedges' latest column at Truthdig a case of rug chewing of LaRouchian proportions (and on a gut level I still consider it over the top), but I did discover with some digging that the article he references by Michael Hudson did appear in Financial Times, which lends a smidgen of credibility to the alarm being rung. Of course Hedges takes Hudson's alarm and amplifies it to an apocalyptic decibel level, but it is interesting to see opinion pieces in such respectable outlets as FT and Truthdig chewing the rug already so well-masticated by LAR. I recall there being mention here awhile back of some LC elbow-rubbing with Hudson, but is there any past LC connection to Hedges?
This is something I would bet many people here have once thought of. I know that I began to seriously think of this during the cult's anti Gore hysteria. A few years ago I put together about a dozen or so exerpts foprm the briefing by Lyn and the briefing writeers about how Al Gore was a Nazi who wants to kill 2 billion dark skinned people. In rereading those colections a few times I really got the willies in that I could see some new , sped up recruit who could snap in this extreme and crazy insular world and go out and assualt Al Gore or his family. Later, one of the briefing was very scary in how it reported to the memebrs just how easy it was to get some ID from someone or in one case, I believe swipe a back stage access pass and be able to stand next to Al Gore's wife and berate her for being with a Nazi. Lyn has no problems sending others to go out and either inflict harm or be harmed whuile sipping a glass of Rheingau.
The combination of this lunacy with a member who has been fed this crazy world of no hope and darkness where all of humanity loses can be enbough to trigger the type of memebrs we find today at card table shrines. Juswt about every blog I read seems ot report that their encounter with a LYMster is wierd becuase it ends with them be called a long line of names for not believing what they do. It is not enough to just disagree, but it is the height of this zeal and irrationality which then makes the current members attack those who they meet. Very strange.
On deadenders. Anyone who leaves this lunacy has my and I am sure of others here, best wishes. There is a category of current LC members who have been involved with so much abuse of other memebrs, that it is almost impossiblem to ever forgive them for the horrors they have inflicted on others. Maybe with a lot of apologies, but memories of what abuses one has seen or been through in this nightmare will not make this easy for some.
There are of course, some members whom I do not think could survive outside of the womb of the LC. This has to be seen in much different terms then what one sees outside of a cult. In other words, because this is a cult, you can commit tremendous abuses of people which if took place in a legitmate business would result in prison time, fines and a shut down.
Just about any cult does that and this is nothing the LC/LYM has a monopoly on. As the email which HH posted shows, we have a level of abuse and destruction of individuals which is frightening to read.
Europeanhas been very informative of using his standard of the European LC to judge what he saw in the USA LC. He still will not be able to fully grasp just how cruel and sick this cult is in what it has done to its members and supporters. I had enough of a problem in stomaching what I saw being done to our elderly supporters in the 1980s that what was done to LC memebrs really did not hit me until I left. The events which bothered me deeply which happened to LCers were then displaced by the cruelty of what was found out later over the years and seeing people being sent to prison for a madman like Lyn. Stilkl later If ind out that Lyn was ready to make a deal to spare himself prison time in exchange for LCers being sent.
Lyn has great family genetics for lifepsan and has no problem with health care and money via the cult to stay alive. There is no easy way to simply calculate the total wasting of lives, cash which went up in flames, money lost, lives destroyed, lives shortened, untold pain and suffering, supporters who were went through this as well, slanders we put out and hurt done by Lyn or directed by Lyn.
At this point, seeing him and the cult atrophy slowly just gives us more time to spread the news and give the world what it needs to know about him and the cult. Lyn spent 300 million of other people's money to try to write his delusionary story for eternity and it all gets wiped out by a few people with a few hundred bucks in the end.
XLCR4LIFE...
This thing with what happens a member once he or she leaves the cult, is important.
To begin with, most people are afraid. They dont know how they will support themselves financially... They might be forced to take any job, to earn money, or they continue to do something they did in the organization, like translation.
Often they still believe that Lyndon is a "good guy". But soon after they have left they realize that he is just a fake, fraudster and a mad guru!
But after a while they realize that by going back to their REAL interests, what is their REAL selves, they can be more happy than they ever where in the cult, and they often realize that they can be much, much more successful too!
After some time they might even reconnect with old friends that used to be members of the cult too.... And perhaps they end up doing what we do!
Most of the people I knew when I was a member have left. Most of them have continued there lives, and have realized what real happiness is. Almost all that leave a cult like this are having a crisis when they leave. All that I have heard off have a day when they realize that Lyndon is a fake. many of them can remember the exact date...
As you said XLCR4LIFE... This organization has done much evil. Lyndon is a very evil person!! And we all played according to the rules, and thus harmed other people... That is how it normally is in a cult!
I also have a few a few things coming up on this topic, some bits on the early history of EFG and some about the use of the org's material in "Diagnosen" publications - uncredited, with all references to LHL and the org removed, and mixed with (similar but ultimately incompatible) Bircher-type paranoia from the US extreme right.
Well that one was revealing, patentrezept. If they removed all references to the org. and Lyndon then they were certainly not very close to the organization! If I should make a list of all that have done so, that list would be long, and among those on the list would be some of the worlds largest magazines and papers and political parties, as well as local media produced by crackpots, religious fundamentalists, nazis and communists...
You mentioned that the LC used their list of subscribers. What is your source for that?
And have you found more about the swiss angle?
The fun never stops here
Several news events of the cult are her to be read and enjoyed.
Dennis KIng has a new entry into his blog
http://lyndonlarouchewatch.org/larouche-warlord1.htm
which is worth reading for a few reasons. If you were a member back in the late 70s, it is quite an experience to read what Lyn actually wrote and compare to what we thought. In many cases, King is correct in that a lot of what Lyn wrote was never read seriously by members who were often running endlessly in circles and skimmed the publications. I have to also state that I am not sure if King wrote this all by himself as there is a streak of humour here one does not find in his writings.
Regardless, the article is worth clicking if only to see a fantastic picture of Lyn in his Cowboy hat that I have not been able to find online. LarouchePlanet has to have that picture of Lyn when we were all puting on our cowboy hats in calling up those conservative fundraising lists.
Next up is some commentary by people who notice that the cult loves a Brit in an EIR interview who has also graced the pages of UFO journals.
Moving right along, we now see how the Obama = Nazi international campaign is gaining hegemony and making the LYM the new leadership in the USAMonckton's vision of the future: an IPCC boot stamping on a human face forever
Category: DDT • Monckton
Posted on: June 16, 2009 2:14 PM, by Tim Lambert
Hey, remember how Monckton got published in a UFO magazine? Well, now he's in a Larouche publication, Executive Intelligence Review (see cover to right), being interviewed about the IPCC plan to RULE THE WORLD.
However, they are not concerned with whether there is a problem or not. They merely wish to pretend that there is a problem, and try to do so with a straight face, for long enough to persuade, not the population, because we have no say in this, but the governing class in the various memberstates of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change: That they should hand over their powers as government to the United Nations or to a new agency, or possibly just to the existing climate panel, merely restructured a bit. So that we would no longer be free to decide what our currency would be, or how much of it there should be, or what we could burn, or what we could do. These things would be dictated to us by the dictators at the center.
The Larouchite who interviewed him reckons that Monckton is correct but hasn't yet realised that Prince Philip and Prince Charles are the puppet masters controlling the IPCC.
Other Moncktonian gems from the EIR interview:
And it works no better than their attempts to ban DDT, which led to the deaths of 40 million children in the poorer countries. A totally unnecessary ban. DDT is not dangerous! You can eat it by the tablespoonful - do you no harm at all. But they invented a scare that it causes cancer, which it does not. They invented a scare that it might thin the eggshells, which it does not - unless you happen to deprive the birds of calcium in their diet, before you do the measurement, which is how they got the bogus result they based it on.
The use of DDT against malaria is not banned. The LD50 (quantity that kills half of test subjects) for DDT is 200 mg/kg for monkeys (closest analogue to humans). So for a 75 kg person that's 15g, or one tablespoon. A 50% chance of killing you does not, to me, seem to be the same as "no harm at all". And DDT does thin bird shells
Same with HIV, where, as with any other fatal, incurable infection, it should have been treated as what's called a notifiable disease, carriers isolated immediately to protect the rest of the population. This was not done. The result? Twenty-five million dead, 40 million infected and going to die, and heaven knows how far the epidemic will continue to spread.
Yes, that's Monckton's infamous plan for the life imprisonment of anyone who is HIV positive.
Kofi Annan has just issued a bizarre, bogus report stating that 300,000 people have died already as a result of global warming or climate change per year, and more deaths are possible. But the policies that he's advocating to solve this will kill billions of people, and will eclipse that, even if it were true.
That must be Monckton's one millionth wild exaggeration.
Tim,
It needs to be said: thanks for bringing these gems to our attention. There's little on TV or radio to match them for sheer comic lunacy. I think that even the late, great, Spike Milligan would've struggled to top them.
Another thought: if Monckton were actually dangerous and evil, as opposed to barking mad and in need of treatment, I would demand that he eats that tablespoonful of DDT in public.
Does anyone know much about his grandfather, the first Viscount Monckton? The Wiki article says
Monckton served as advisor to Edward VIII during the abdication crisis, having been his Attorney-General since 1932
That doesn't sound like part of the effort by anti-fascists to crush the Hitler project in Britain, does it?
It references 'The life of Viscount Monckton of Brenchley' by Frederick Winston Furneaux-Smith.
I think it was here that I once asked LaRouche deputy Marjorie Mazel Hecht if she could enlighten me about the source of this bizarre fixation on the British crown and random British philosophers. Great takedown. The Larouchies like to set up shop on my campus right near our building from time to time, so I get to hear the "Godwin"ing arguments all the time. It's ironic to me that they can poison the well of British scientists by lumping them in with British imperialism, but don't do the same for their prized German mathematicians and scientists when it comes to the Nazis.
Also ironic: I particularly enjoyed the last sentence which, I have to admit, went over my head the first time.
That is as much info as you need to know that this 'journal' and anything in it is a complete waste of time, and probably border line psychotic.
Here is another picture of the Obama = Nazi sign and an apparent sexual mix up of whether we have a LYM or LYMette at this card table shrine.Man threatens LaRouche supporters, investigated by police
Seattle police are investigating an incident in which a man threatened to rip down several political signs displayed by supporters of Lyndon LaRouche.
On Thursday, the man saw the LaRouche signs at Boren Avenue and Madison Street and was furious, saying if supporters didn't take down the signs in five minutes, he would rip them down. The LaRouche supporters felt threatened and called police.
Supporters of LaRouche – the former presidential candidate called insightful by some and a political cult leader by others – held signs around Seattle on Thursday linking President Barack Obama to the Nazis.
Police are investigating the incident as malicious harassment, the state's hate crime law.
The incident happened about 3:20 p.m. The suspect, a black man in his 30s or 40s with a muscular build, shouted the threat from his gray Mercedes Benz.
"Both victims fear that this is a threat of physical violence," officer P.J. Fox wrote in his report, referring to two men in their 20s working the LaRouche table. They provided police with the driver's license plate number.
What do you think?
It seems like there are many of you commenting that are confused about what the LaRouche youth are doing. What they are doing is trying to save you from a renewal of the same nazi policies ("useless eaters")implemented by Hitler in 1939 being imposed by the apparently captive President Obama with his "new" health care limitation initiative. The President appears to be a captive of his advisors (Larry Summers,Peter Orszag), who themselves are selling this country down the river. Whether the President is a willing captive or not remains to be seen.
And for the rest of you (you know who you are) that are threatening these kids, there is a special place in Hell for you waiting - but you know that, don't you? You are already living there.
Malicious Harassment is what Washington, Idaho and many other states call their laws which are commonly referred to as "hate crime" laws.
Our law in this state is RCW 9A.36.080, which states:
"A person is guilty of malicious harassment if he or she maliciously and intentionally commits one of the following acts because of his or her perception of the victim's race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or mental, physical, or sensory handicap"
I don't know how it would apply to LaRouche followers, unless they are making a case that the have a "mental handicap", and the harrassment was BECAUSE of that handicap.
threatening to punch somebody because they disagree with you is a misdemeanor, at best. but if the disagreement is about questionable politics, then it becomes a felony?
this might be a good ask-911 question for this blog: theoretically, i'm drunk and i'm about to punch another drunk guy outside of Earl's on the Ave. as we're drunkenly beating on each other, he calls me a "phag" or "poof" or "liberal" or "ugly mufo" or "liberal" or "democrat" or "a))hole," so that automatically elevates his charges to felony malicious harassment instead of misdemeanor assault?
larouchie committed a hate crime by equating obama with hitler, so where do i report that? i'm pretty sure that i also heard the larouchie call oprah a beotch, so there's a nother [sic] charge.
to make a LaRouche phamplet-flier squirm, ask about what sinners live in the "hollow earth." ask about who's going to take over his empire (he's pushing 90 by now, so the senility can only increase from there (proven, demonstrable medical fact, to any larouchie who wants to argue the fact)). ask the hard questions about LaRouche's connection to Jim Jones, Fox Mulder, J. Ruby, and watch their faces blanch at the connection with the Illuminati.
And, to user "Will I Am Tell," it was so sweet of you to create an brand-new account just to support your senile, demented, and wrong leader. Oh, crap, I just committed a hate crime, didn't I?
I was approached by one of these people in downtown San Francisco a few years ago. I said something mildly disparaging about Larouche (I believe they were running him for President at the time or something), and the young guy instantly flew off the handle and started yelling at me. Not only that, he pursued me down the street for almost a block, continuing to yell at me. Given what an insane spectacle he was making of himself, I didn't feel the need to reply in kind.
He was not aware of the optics of the situation, having come unglued, but he was quite large (and male), and I am quite small (and female), so I can only hope I helped him further tarnish the Larouche brand that day, if such a thing were possible.
That's nuts!
We're clearly in the start (not end) of our own Weimar Republic. The apt comparison would be Obama = Brüning. Any one with any brain at all can see that Obama's economic policy parallels, and is sure to have similar results to, Brüning's.
Obama may share with Hitler the vision of a totalitarian, autocratic, single party, national socialist dictatorship, but his emerging policy of tight credit and the coming rollback of all wage and salary increases will be hugely unpopular and will hopefully result in his political irrelevance before he can accomplish his more over reaching ambitions. Even he fears this... thus the rush to nationalize health care while he has the requisite political capitol.
LaRouchies should take a gold brick, wrap it up in a lemon, and smash it against their head repeatedly.
That will save them a lot of time.
These nuts were in Montreal's subway all week long. I asked one guy why Larouche was against public healthcare and he started yelling at me.
There was the time that I was walking past Old Navy downtown, deep in conversation, and reached to take the packet that someone handed to me, noticed slightly too late that it was La Rouche-related, screamed and dropped it like it was on fire.
Hitler was a vegetarian. That doesn't mean that vegetarians are evil, far from it.
I had a similar experience to #6 here in Seattle. It was the first time I'd ever decided to talk to them to find out what their deal was, asked a couple questions, and this guy started yelling at me. WTF? I walked away with him yelling at me halfway down the block. Such a great way to convince someone of your point. Bat**** crazy, IMHO.
The 'guy' in the pic is actually a female... Long stringy ponytail down the back.. She was with another female.. I made the mistake of trying to engage them in conversation... She came out from behind her little table and asked me how I could support Obama if he's "going to be killing millions of people with his healthcare reform." The crazy was coming off her in waves... She began to get loud and I had to walk away, as my break was over.. Good times, Good times...
This on the heels of yesterday's tragedy, how can something like this even be permitted in public.
Racist groups have been on the rise since the election of our President.
i grabbed for the poster to rip it, but it was laminated. the kid tried to grab my arm and i flinched and made like to punch him in the face, just as a split second reaction. He started screaming like a baby and his ladyfriend called 911 so Obama's jackbooted nazi stormtroopers could come to their rescue. ha. you'd think they'd have more cajones if they are willing to stand out there with the sign. what a bunch of racist d-bags. I had to laugh though when i saw the black hebrews cult back at west lake center, they too had an obama poster, but in this one he had horns and a tail!
The LaDouchies didn't particularly bother me until they decided they were Democrats and started showing up at the Legislative District meetings and trying to disrupt the proceedings and take over. They made the mistake of doing that at at least one LD with a high percentage of military veterans, and I had the distinct pleasure of watching their skinny crazy asses escorted with great firmness off the premises. No crazies were harmed in the process, but I don't think their feet touched the ground once a couple of ex-Marines decided they needed to leave.
They've been around a LONG time, and are sort of a cameleon group, re-forming and changing names a lot. 35 years ago or so I remember they were standing by the U District Safeway on Brooklyn, and selling their newspaper, "New Solidarity" (this was back when they were still posturing as leftists). My favorite headline was something about Rockefeller engaging in cannibalism (I wish I could recall the exact headline).
Their rhetoric is amazing. One phrase I recall from the 70s or early 80s was their reference to some other group as "a pseudo-religious zombie cult".
I just Binged (the new Google) Rockefeller+LaRouche+cannibalism and found this gem:
"Man threatens LaRouche supporters, investigated by police
Seattle police are investigating an incident in which a man threatened to rip down several political signs displayed by supporters of Lyndon LaRouche."
There is a law recognized and enforced in some countries called "lese majeste", which is an insult against the dignity of a head of state. Portraying the President of the United States with a Hitler mustache is certainly in bad taste and disrespectful, especially since Larouche himself has no health plan for his followers and even describes boomers as "half-dead".
1. I do not claim that they always did so. I still did not have time to have a deeper look at the magazine (Diagnosen/Code) as the library who has it has opening hours that are quite incompatible with my working hours. It has been claimed that from 1983 original stuff by the org appeared in it, including some articles by LHL himself.
The item I was referring to in my previous post is a curious book called "Die Netzwerke der Insider" (The Networks of the Insiders) by "Peter Blackwood", published by "Verlag Diagnosen" in 1986. Although the author's name sounds english or american, it is not mentioned whether it is a translation from English. The book itself is organized in a "Lexicon" style with articles on (mostly conspiracy-related) topics, ordered alphabetically. Some examples: "War of Bankers against America", "Bilderberger", "CFR", "CIA - Rockefeller Fascism". The articles definitely come from diverse sources, at least two longer ones are from the org, but others definitely aren't. There is no info on "Peter Blackwood" in the book, and the name is presented in a way that suggests he is the author, not a kind of editor who compiled other peoples stuff. Most of the non-LC-material seems to come from the US extreme right, some seems to come from ultratraditionalist catholics (John Paul II. as a heretic). The really interesting thing is the article "Schacht, Hjalmar: Experimente für Rockefeller". It is basically a reprint of the German translation of "Final Solution: The Schactian Economy of the third Reich", by Costas Axios which appeared in the March 1975 issue of Campaigner. The book reprints basically the first two of the three chapters of the translation which appeared in the "Internationales Bulletin" of October 1975, which seems to have been the German Campaigner edition (the German LYM had this online, but I think it was removed). It is definitely the same translation, it is largely unchanged except that paragraphs that either directly refer to the org OR to the holocaust are removed. The whole 3rd chapter of the original version deals with the holocaust, guess why it is not there in this version? What is left intact are some marxist bits like favourable references to Rosa Luxemburg or critique of errors of the KPD etc. which is completely weird as in other parts of the book communism is pure evil and part of a Jewish banker's conspiracy.
Another article is about "CIA - Rockefeller's Fascism" which is basically rearranged from another 1974/75 era Campaigner (forgot which one).
To sum it up: At least in this book, they reprinted org material but without citing the sources and omitting any explicit reference in the text itself. The material comes from the time immediatley BEFORE the "right turn" (when it was most anti-Rockefeller) and is also not compatible with the org's party line of 1986. Strange indeed.
