Default The Gnostic Movement- Lead by Belzebuub

I have reason to believe this is a cult disguised as spiritual self help. I'm only 18 and may be "too little" to make an accusation like this, but I want my voice to be heard anyway. If something makes me feel this upset, something must be fishy.

I have heard many disagreements to this from users there, but I still think something fishy is going on there. What makes me dizzy is that they say that once you progress far enough on the spiritual path, you come to see that they are different. They say people who critisize Belzebuub are just ignorant.

They track all of their posts on their forums and even the comments on their youtube videos. I posted a message saying "mythomania" (spiritual lies/ grandiose) on their youtube videos, and they immediately covered it up by saying "I like the honesty in this video. You really can't argue with it".
I posted my oppinion about Gnosticweb on another unrelated forum, and they tracked that down and made a litigation threat, just for me telling the truth.

The reason I dislike this organization so much is that they discriminate brutally against gay people. They say that they seem nice and friendly outside, but that inside they are damned. Their happiness is "a path to hell lined with roses", because the devil is good at disguising the damned and hell by making the world seem like a nice place. But in the beginning, they say that they accept all beliefs and religions. I think its just a way of luring people in.

Here is a post about it from another cult forum

    http://forum.rickross.com/read.php?12,64837

Anyway, I don't think they are outright dangerous, really. But I think that they have made plenty of people confused and disoriented. One girl there asked if she should quit school because of 2012. Another told her mom, "you're just my earth mother".

There are many teachers in the world because the world is our teacher.
If you learn to see the whole world as your teacher there will be no need to follow anyone but yourself.

Belzebub is a human being like the rest of us.
What he has is available to us all through simple faith in God and knowledge of who you are.

I will let a child speak on the subject since they are the experts.

    Mister God, This is Anna
    by Fynn

Our local parson was taken aback when he asked her about God. The conversation went as follows:
    'Do you believe in God?'
    'Yes.'
'Do you know what God is?'
    'Yes.'
    'What is God then?'
    'He's God.'
    'Do you go to church?'
    'No.'
    'Why not?'
    'Because I know it all.'
    'What do you know?'
'I know to love Mister God and to love people and cats and dogs and spiders and flowers and trees,' and the catalog went on, '- with all of me.'

    Saying # 70:

    70) Jesus said, "If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you."

Thanks for the response. I found it very useful.

Alot more info here, yes it is a cult, a subtle one on the outside and a nasty one on the inside.

    http://www.factnet.org/vbforum/showthread.php?t=14938

The main thing to understand about a cult is that no matter how great or wonderful its leader may appear to be, no matter how wonderful or humble his words or teachings, you give over your intelligence, judgement and much more to their ideas.

As soon as you hear things like :

This is the only true school
This is the only living master
You should never attend other groups
If you betray the master you will ..... go to hell etc. etc.
Only with our school can you save your soul
You should work and devote yourself to our organisation for free
You must be devoted to our school to progress

As soon as you are asked to put aside judgement, to over look things which seem outrageous or just wrong, as soon as you feel peer pressure, fear, forboding etc. used on you. Then get out !.

Any kind of real higher calling is something totally individual and internal, and you can and should find the information buy looking within yourself. You can gain all kinds of insight, from all manner of people, but to follow anyone is to throw yourself away.

Isn't it interesting how all these teachers going way back thousands of years into history, talk about their own investigations, how they found the way themselves, they talk about being free, liberated, awakened etc. and yet somehow you must commit to them, donate money to them, work for them for no pay, etc etc ?

Isn't it a conflict of interest that only with one school's information can you progress spiritually, that anything outside their information is wrong or corrupted. That you can investigate but everything you find must agree with them.

Its so stupid to get fooled by this mind game.

Any real spiritual master would never play you for such a fool like this.

    Think about it !

You are a benevolent awakened being and you want other people to follow your discoveries, what would you do ?

Sit the information out there for anyone who wants it and that's all.

Or start roping them in to paying for your living expenses, donating all their savings and throwing away their own career and livihood for your benefit ?

On the surface the Movement of Pritchard doesn't look dangerous. However the psychological damage is far more greater than someone could suspect.
In this site people have started describing their stories with that Gnostic Movement. Interesting but sad stuff ...
    http://movementsofgnostics.wordpress.com
I wish more information about those organizations to be available to public before people get trapped into them. But unfortunately this organization made sure tha all negative comments against them to be deleted by legally threatening other sites.

Man, i cant understand how can people believe this stuff ?
When they start hearing someone telling them not to let their children go to school, they think this is normal thinking ? I mean considering religion wants us to choose by knowing all the parts...

Default Mark Pritchard asked a married woman to be his partner??

I just cannot believe my eyes!
Mark Pritchard asked a married woman (and member of his Organization) to leave her husband and be his partner while he is married to Edith Pritchard!
I have just read the story here:
    http://movementsofgnostics.wordpress...rt-4/#more-236
Is this man insane? Does he really thinks that he can do whatever he likes? He made her swear that she won’t say anything and manipulated her using her fear to the ‘Master’. And who knows how many girls after or before that one has been victims of his ‘authority’?

Maybe if they would just think for themselves and not let a so called "master" do the thinking they maybe there will not be anymore this kind of cases. I dont say not to believe in this things but just to think moderately.

If I was going to start a cult, I surely wouldn't choose a name like Beelzebub. Now Jesus, that is a short and to the point manly man's name. It started as Yeshua and on the TEEVEE is JAAAZZZZUUUUSSSSS. But the guy who picks up my trash is named Jesus, or Hesus. I like Jesus. he works hard obeys the law and always smiles.
Somebody asks me to call them beetlejuice or whatever and I'd pee on their ankle.

Default I thought that I have heard all but ...

I thought I wouldn't hear anything more socking about Mark Pritchard and his cult, but look at this! He forced people to donate him a house and land destined to be a retreat. And this is only part I of this story writen by another member of the Gnostic Movement:

There is a canyon road between Simi California and L.A. county. It was cut so farmers could take produce to the still running L.A. Market. You can see it in lots of old movies. It became infamous as location of the old Spahn ranch of manson gang infamy in the 60s. An even smaller canyon splits off. Box Canyon was long marked by a concrete fragment proclaiming 'FOUNTAIN OF THE WORLD.' It's members wore long robes, hair and beards and were noted for foul BO and table manners at the local IHOP where they ate pancake only meals.
The leader of that group took a member's wife too. Only that guy took a stick of dynamite to the compound and a .38 spl to the couple. I think Tony Alamo netted most of the surviving members.
Give it time, this idiot too will do his damage and fall.

Cool Life threatening situations now with Gnostic Movement of Belzebuub

After Belzebuub has shut down his Gnostic Movement (at last), fanatic students of his have started to gather their remaining strength in order to attack anyone with different opinions and spread lies and even threats!
A girl is on a hunger strike in order for the Gnostic Movement to resume and everyone opposing Belzebuub to cease talking! Horrible!

    Default Finding understanding through life

I have studied the Gnostic teachings for a while, and as far as I understood the main thing that The Gnostic Movement and Belzebuub teach is how to gain understanding from situations in life, and change your life in this way.

For me it has been very difficult to understand how to do this, and I keep falling into many tendencies that can be described 'cultish', like isolating myself, giving and receiving peer pressure, being a blind believer on things, defending words and leaders, blindly rejecting who I am, etc. This led to many problems for me, for others and in how I felt.

After overcoming some of these things, I can say that the main problem was me making mistakes and misunderstanding the teachings. Other people (students and teachers) who made similar mistakes contributed to the problems. The main thing I want to say is that in overcoming similar and daily life problems we gain wisdom and understanding, and that is to me what the Gnostic teachings are about.

To overcome a problem I have to look at why it impacts me so much, what am I thinking that's causing the problem, why am I feeling so bad, etc. And, to overcome a problem we have to be immersed in it (so many will suffer through similar 'cultish' ideas). That's why I hope that people who are facing similar issues as me persist, reevaluate what they are doing, and understand it. If they manage to do it, they will be happier for it and stronger.

On another note, there are a fair bit of negative things said in this thread, and on the internet, about Belzebuub and the Gnostic Movement. In my experience I have not found them to be true, and I hope that anyone who looks into these teachings is not swayed by negative accusations, but makes up their mind based on what they see.

Oh Jonathan and ales you are again 'recruited' by Mark and Edith to post 'nice' comments about them :-). When are you going to learn that this won't have any effect since acts talk by themselves?

    Hi Everyone,

I am the Joanna that ‘Ariel’ refers to and my husband is Ioannis. We were members of an organisation called The Gnostic Movement run by Mark Pritchard, who published books under the name Beelzebub and later changed it to Belzebuub. We participated in the organisation for 8 and 5 years respectively.

We were thrown out of the organisation when we actively began speaking out about behaviour and actions that were immoral and unethical and I believe due to the fact that I rejected a proposition to be the ‘mistress’ of Mark Pritchard.

Mark Pritchard’s organisation has subsequently been classified as a cult by psychologists and theologists, the International Cultic Studies Association, Cult Information & Family Support in Australia, Joe Szimhart – Cult expert and consultant, and has also been included in a presentation at a worldwide Symposium on Cults in New York.

Ioannis and I decided to share our stories on the following website: www.movementsofgnostics.com and more than 40 ex-members and students decided to do the same. As a result of their exposure, The Gnostic Movement has closed and Mark has resumed his activities as a ‘mystic’ on Belzebuub Teachings. The MovementsofGnostics site has been checked over by police authorities in various countries who have stated that the accounts fall within the laws of freedom of speech and do not constitute any form of slander.

Since this time, Mark Pritchard’s followers have tried all means possible to discredit us, silence us and harm our lives including making false accusations, interfering substantially with employment, spreading lies and slander on the internet, just as they do here, and more. They have had an entire website removed from Wordpress for violating its terms of use by their conduct and had postings removed on several other websites for the same.

We are now in the process of recording and gathering all records of harassment and have ceased all engagement with them. They will most likely reply to this with more slander and lies, however, we have been advised not to respond. For now, this factual account will appear on all sites in which they decide to post defamatory material.

Exclamation Pictor, Egonalois and Ariel... This is a warning...

We don't mind current members of high control groups posting here...We actually invite you to come and voice your opinions but in no way do we allow anyone to post private info about others without there implicit permission.

I need not explain myself further...

We are glad you are here... Maybe we can help you....
