    Default Trayvon Martin look-alikes

Recently an elderly man in Ohio was attacked by a group using racial slurs and declaring "I am Trayvon Martin."

What is your source for that, Cowshut? Was it from “non-manipulated media?”

    Default Russia Today News?

Hi Cowshut. Thanks for linking to one of your sources for news and information, Russia Today; a Russian government-funded news network based in Moscow. Andrew Osborn, a Moscow correspondent for the Daily and Sunday Telegraph, described RT as “the Kremlin’s slavishly loyal English-language propaganda channel.”

According to Der Speigal (a German weekly news magazine) and Reporters Without Borders (a France-based international non-governmental organization that advocates freedom of the press and freedom of information) RT “presents pro-Kremlin propaganda.”

When RT was created in 2005, the new “director general” said that “the station aims to counter the Anglo-Saxon domination of global television news.”

Descriptions of RT vary from pro-Putin news outlet,” “part of the Kremlin’s attempt to create a post-Soviet global propaganda empire,” “virulent anti-American with a worshipful portrayal of Russian leaders,” and Accuracy in the Media’s criticism of RT being “a propaganda network funded by the Moscow regime of Vladimir Putin,” “regularly featuring Marxist commentators.”

Former KGB officer Konstantin Preobrazhensky described the network as “a part of the Russian industry of misinformation and manipulation designed to mislead foreign audiences about Russian intentions.”

The Economist magazine classified RT’s reporting as “weirdly constructed propaganda” that has provided a platform for conspiracy theorists.”

So this is one of your sources for news and information that you think is non-manipulated? What’s interesting is that Russia Today staff claims that their coverage is “fair and balanced.” Sound familiar?

Perhaps, you would be better served if you take your head out of your - - - - . The article was carried by several news agencies including CNN, USA and ABC. You need to get out dodge. Turn off manipulated media and find out what really is happening in your world. go down to the Commons and watch the pretty girls for a while. Put your feet in the ocean. You could go to Newport and walk along the "cliff." You might be really surprised to find there is a world out there.

The only thing you’ve demonstrated is that you get your news from Russian Television (RT), a Wordpress blog called “The Gaslamp Post,” Fox News, a right-wing internet forum called “Free Republic,” and a Ohio local wordpress newsfeed…all about a seventy-eight-year-old man named Dallas Watts from Toledo, Ohio who says he was attacked by six juveniles.

What does that have to do with "Trayvon Martin look-alikes?" The attackers were kids between eleven and seventeen years old and they were both black and white.

According to news reports over the past twenty-four hours, Mr. Watts’ account of the assault may have been exaggerated. Toledo police captain Wes Bombrys said that investigators determined the crime was not racially motivated, and that Mr. Watts story was “somewhat exaggerated.” (according to today’s Toledo Blade online newspaper). The kids were arrested and charged with assault.

The only “manipulated media” here is you in your role as right-wing propagandist.
