Turtle -- With the sun being made to pour down blistering heat that burns skin as is described in Revelation 16:8, how are the innocent going to be spared? Or, when this is supposed to happen in the future, is everyone going to be “wicked” and deserving of such punishment?

The question I would ask is why is this necessary? If the mythical supernatural being known as “God” in the New Testament is omnipotent, why doesn’t he just make everyone worship him through his magical powers instead of having to torture them? That would be like a father punching his son in the head saying “I’m going to do this until you say you love me.”

Dodge your question is simple, God used love first and love did not work for these people. They were hard headed and obstinate. They care little for love, and need the wrath of God instead in their life to correct. A smack on the wrist works for some drug heads, but not all, sometimes hard time is need to straighten and sometimes it does not work and leads to murder.

Turtle -- you seem to be saying that if a child becomes “hard-headed and obstinate,” then extreme anger (wrath) is the only recourse. Actually, that kind of behavior coming from a parent would be considered abusive and psychologically pathological. Not a good parent. Time to call in child protective services. God seems to be in need of anger management.

Dodge you think calling the cops on your child and having him/her thrown in child is a parent needing anger managment. No dodge, it saying the child is going to land up doing something worse by his own choice, and taking action to prevent that child from beating you, killing you, killing someone, or even beating someone to death. It taking a child that is not in control of his ownself and doing something to help him/her gain control over their actions that are causing trouble, because your grounding, your correcting, your talking, your loving and accepting is not working. It is going the extra mile and saying I am going to help this child.

God gave man free will, even if they do not believe in Him, He requires them to at least obey him. Just like we require people to obey the law or punihsment comes. Punishment if we break the law. Now you might not agree with correction which I see you do not agree one should abide by at least the law. It apparent with your abusive nature on this board and the way you bully people.
