An ode to those who make sport of brethren who have fallen into sin

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:28-32

Very poetic, wouldn't you say Mr. Briggs? Isn't it you that posted this poem?

    Ode of an EX-NTCCer

When I was a member of your church,
A check I had placed on my life.
But now that I’ve gone from among you,
I feel free to beat up my wife.

No more do I have to give answer,
For sin and bad living you see.
I simply do what my flesh fancies,
And go to where ever I please!!

For some that means to a dance night club,
To others a bar for a drink,
Still others have found now there’s license,
To slip themselves back into Pink!!!

Yes there are those now among us,
Who had problems with living like thee.
But now they are free for licention,
    And have gone to homosexuality!!!

So to cover our tracks we have written,
    On this wonderful bestial site,
As we sit day and evening in our house
And try to tear down those who live right!

We make the most outlandish statements,
We take pride in our lies and our vice,
For to say what is good is all evil
    To us is particularly nice!

So to those of you now reading our posts,
If a sinner like we you would be,
Then I think you had better now listen,
    And become just like EX-NTCC!

This is not a joke Briggs. It's very serious. When was the last time you prayed for someone who has gone the way of the world for them to come around and repent?

When I was a member of your church,
A finger I had pointed at my life,
But now that I have gone from among you,
I am free to really love my wife.

No more do I have to give answer,
for spending time with my kids you see,
I simply do what God directs to me,
And it is Him I desire to please.

Yes, there are those among us,
who had problems of living like thee,'
Now they are free from the attitude of the Pharisee.
And have gone to real spirituality.

" how dare they " you will say,
but there will come a day,
when all truth is brought to light,
and you will see you were not always right.

You may do as you have always done,
calls names, and make cruel jokes,
but you are not fooling us folks.
    We have been there before,
    some hurt to the core.

    Continue to attack and devour
We all watch your attitude sour.
Don't stop now, let is all shine through,
Just to let everyone see, that leaving was the right thing to do.

I don't understand how someone who has a call of God on their life can make fun of people who have turned from God and into sin. How is that funny?

I don't find that funny, Sin is serious business. I think they were just trying to show us what they think of ALL of us, whether we have gone into sin or not. If you are/were part of NTCC you know how it is so greatly feared that if you leave, sin will immediately take your life over and you won't have any control.
I am sure you have heard the examples of people who left used from over the pulpit, I know I sure did.
