I notice an unusual number of views here in the last year, which makes me curious. Probably means one or both of two things; 1. The gopis are doing the sneaky, lying recruiting thing again and people are checking them out (good job, people!) or 2. People are trying to find loved ones that were or are trapped in the cult.

For both of the above, my curse on you Margaret and Mary and whoever the f. the Ona Ali person is. You think you've gotten away with it, your cheesy con all these years. You are right. So Morningland, typical cult, going after vulnerable people. They show up at "interfaith" events, Martin Luther King events and now events for veterans. Arron and I attended a new-agey event tonight on the invite of a friend of his he used to work with at a bookstore. The New-Agey stuff was nice. They even fed us a nice meal, and gave us "readings". They call the building they are in "The Monastery" and only a couple of times during the evening did I catch the name "morningland". They were a blend of Eastern and Western philosophies, christ, buddha, etc. using Tarot, Runes, Numerology, Palmistry, you name it. Offering Yoga in many different paths.

We had a pleasant evening.
We went home.
I went online to google "Morningland +Cult" and was quite surprised to find matches.

Among other things the Monastery is also affectionately called the "mother ship" and there are 2 spaceships the size of Texas waiting 25 miles up in space to take away the 144,000 followers they hope to gather. This according to several websites, and MANY newspaper articles over the last 20 years.

hmmm, I guess they forgot to mention all that in the first night's session...

I think we will not return.

Heh. Amazing how many crazies there are around here... But then again, ask for true freedom...

Anyhoo, what you ought to do is go for a little while, get seriously embroiled into the 'scheme of things', and climb the ranks, so to speak.

One night, just freak out and proclaim that you received a vision that the UFO's are landing prematurely within the next few days.

Then go buy yourself a lawn chair and a tub of popcorn.
