Default Come on, come all, the circus

Come on, come all, the circus is back in town. Be sure to bring your wallet and checkbook for Inspiring Excellence (in larceny)Week 2006 at Family Harvest Church.

All the usual suspects will be there:

    Mike "Rolls Royce" Murdock
    John "the Brazier" Bevere
Peter "the Aussie Yuppie" Daniels (who is an elder in the Anglo Far East Buillion Co by the way)
    John "the Italian Job" Avanzini

and, of course, your host, the one, the only "Doctor" Robb "the Tan Man" Thompson.

Be prepared for a week of being the guinea pig for high-powered money-grabbing techniques to be used on other saps across the country. They'll hone their marketing skills on the lemmings and laugh all the way to the counting room!

    Enlightenment Man:

Well, I haven't been there, but I've seen the list of speakers. I listen to several of those speakers online, including Mike Murdock. They are valuable gifts (the speakers) to the Body of Christ.

I'm not the biggest John Avanzini fan, or the biggest Robb Thompson fan, but I think its wrong to criticize gifted leaders in the Body of Christ like that.

Default jbkrems, READ THIS PROOF! C

    jbkrems,

READ THIS PROOF! Check out what Murdock spends your money on.
Here's the link: to an article in the Dallas Ft Worth newspaper full of DOCUMENTED IRS records, cashed checks, accounting records Proof in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Star featuring Mike Murdock and his best friend Robb Thompson's crazy spending of money they collect from their offering buckets. (Poor stewardship gone nuts)

    http://www.religionnewsblog.com/9790

Mike Murdock has his 10-seat Israel Aircraft Industries turbojet owned by his ministry and valued at $1,055,550.
In 2002, he said, he bought a 1973 Cessna Citation 500, a corporate jet that usually seats six. $4,000 per hour to operate.

In the Dallas/Ft. Worth Star newspaper Here's an interesting article that speaks about thompson and his best scheming friend Mike Murdock's spending, including proof, Murdocks and how he and Robb Thompson have exchanged huge "gifts" including Thompson giving Murdock $70,000 BMW's, trading $25,000 cash gifts $15,000 cash house payment gifts for "birthday" presents while people in their congregations and organizations are starving.

Also Mike Murdocks son Jason Murdock, 27, is quoted stating "people question his father's methods as well as his fast cars, expensive jewelry and estate in Argyle, where he has kept exotic animals such as llamas, a camel, an antelope and a lion."

"Sometimes his lavishness is a little crazy," Jason Murdock said. "Who needs an African lion for a pet?"

We are called by God to be good stewards. Wasting his provision to feed some lust hungry egomaniac like thompson and Murdock''s ridiculous spending and Rolex/Muller wristwatch habit is not what God expects of us.

How many people could have been given the Gospel, poor people helped, and the hungry fed with the ministries money that these two fools WASTE on Exotic animals, Rolex watches, $70,000 BMW's, $80,000 Lexus and on and on.???
No one gives MONEY to Murdock, Copeland or Creflo Dollar, expecting them to use it on their airplanes, African lions, Rolex watches, their WASTED Rolls Royce, $5,000 suits etc.

People give it expecting it to get souls saved but no results.
"God gave us power to get wealth to establish his covenant" Deut 8:18 NOT to spend it building bigger $3 million dollar houses, telling time with $30,000 watches or driving unecessary status $100,000 cars.

    trs:

Here we go again... please rest assured I've never contributed money to Mike Murdock. I just listen to his principles... I think they''re good.

This is a biased article... it is editorialized and slanted against Murdock, which is wrong.

Regardless, how Dr. Murdock spends his finances is between him and God, and not for others to critique, unless there is embezzlement, fraud, or other illegal activity...

Sorry, Starbucks closed and I had to stop.

So what if Dr. Murdock has 2 jets? He probably needs them for his extensive travel.

Dr. Murdock is within reason giving extravagant gifts to ministry friends. Why deprive these of such a blessing???

My pastor's pastor blessed my pastor with a Mercedes for a gift. I don't think there is anything wrong with that, either.

    jbkrems, You state.
..."please rest assured I've never contributed money to Mike Murdock. I just listen to his principles... I think they''re good."
So you eat at McDonalds (Murdock) but you go across the street and pay at Burger King (elsewhere). So why do you violate the scripture that says to give to the storehouse where you are fed?

Mike Murdock only has an average of 12 events yearly that take him out of town. He buys expensive planes and operates his jets at a minimum of $4,000 per hour.(Average cost to fly to an event is $24,000 round-trip.) This is not WISDOM. This is bad stewardship of Gods money. "Ignorance can be fixed but stupid is forever"
The cost of a commercial flight would hardly ever be more than be $1,000 round trip.
How many people could have been given the Gospel, poor people helped, and the hungry fed with the ministries money that these this fool WASTES on Exotic animals, Rolex watches, $70,000 BMW's, $80,000 Lexus and on and on.???
No one gives MONEY to Murdock, Copeland or Creflo Dollar, expecting them to use it on their airplanes, African lions, Rolex watches, their WASTED Rolls Royce, $5,000 suits etc.

How crazy and unecessaty is it to own lions, camels and other exotic expensive animals on offering money?

People give it expecting it to get souls saved but they get no results.
    The Bible states
"God gave us power to get wealth to establish his covenant" Deut 8:18 NOT to spend it building bigger $3 million dollar houses, telling time with $30,000 watches or driving unecessary status $100,000 cars. Jesus called us stewards of all our money not OWNERS. Jesus said to use money faithfully to reach and bring people into an eternal relationship with God. Jesus said not to give to unfaithful people. Luke 16

Jesus called it sinful being "unfaithful in little and unfaithful in much," and those in leadership causing others to stumble by their bad example of extravagant money use leading them to fall. We are told in the scripture to "EXPOSE these unfaithful stewards" and all works of darkness. Eph 5:, Luke 16

Default trs: The Scriptures teach t

    trs:

The Scriptures teach that we are to tithe to our local church. And that is what I do, because I am fed there. Basically, I listen to Dr. Murdock, and much of the principles he shares is good. I would not say I am "fed" by his ministry.

Also, Dr. Murdock has a church, The Wisdom Center... the people who should be using his ministry as a "storehouse" are the members of his church, and any who consider themselves "partners" of his ministry.

I believe Dr. Murdock travels more than you suggest. Even if he does travel only 12 times a year, he still should need jets to travel in an efficient manner, so he need not deal with airport security and the like. There are reasons why he has jets.

If Dr. Murdock had to fly commercial, it would be a waste of his time and would not be efficient. Is it cheaper? Yes, but you get what you pay for.

Now, owning the exotic pets is a different question. There really is no reason for that. On the other hand, if Dr. Murdock is blessed with such pets, who are we to deny that???

I continue to see the saying reinforced...

"The ignorant can be educated, but stupid is forever".

    $24,000avg per trip times 12 average ='s $288,000
$282,000 dollars more than flyinf commercial air.
$500 avg. per trip 12 by commercial air ='s $6,000.00.

God did not give offering money to waste on exhorbitant multimillion dollar luxury private jets that cost $4,000 per hour to fly.

He gave us money to use wisely to win souls.
Murdock does not use wisdom. He operates from his lusts, stupidity and bad taste. He preys on other peoples lusts to con them and get their money.

Jesus said "Your heart is where your treasure is"
We can see where Murdocks heart is.

NOT IN souls "establishing Gods covenant".

People who support and subsidize this fool are bad stewards, and just as stupid and evil as he is. Murdock only recently started a church to dodge the IRS and public publishing of his IRS filings which he use to have to do. The church has so little ministry that the IRS is questioning it being legitimate.

PS The old testament scriptures do not say just to tithe it states (OFFERINGS) "tithes AND OFFERINGS". The new testament states offerings and giving.
    Hypocrites are everywhere.

    jbkrems,
wake up and get with the scriptures.
    Read Luke 16.

Mike Murdock is a fake in so many ways.
He is no doctor. He has no PHD doctorate from any college. He never graduated from any accredited college let alone get a masters and then a doctorate.

When you only have one meeting a month you have plenty of time to get there commercial air for 2% of the price.
It never justifies spending $24,000 in operating evertime just to fly his plane one place round trip.

God gives us money to use wisely to "establish his covenant" to bring people into relationship with God.
Murdock does not use wisdom. He's a hypocrit.
He operates from his lusts, stupidity and bad taste. He preys on other peoples lusts to con them and get their money.

Default trs: Dr. Murdock in know wa

    trs:

Dr. Murdock in know way violates Luke 16, which is the parable of the unrighteous steward. Dr. Murdock has never owed anyone anything, nor is he anyone's creditor.

So far as Dr. Murdock's doctorate is concerned, I believe it is an honorary doctorate, which is not "fake," as you suggest. I do not know, although you might, which university bestowed it on him. I think, possibly, Oral Roberts Univ., but I might be incorrect with that.

No, because Dr. Murdock is in full-time ministry, pastoring a church, doing weekly TV programs, speaking at various venues, AND don't forget he does travel on occasion within the DFW area for events like the Daystar telethon, he needs to be efficient at using his time. Time is a valuable commodity. The Scriptures teach that time is just as precious as treasure. Flying commercial, however, wastes precious time. It might be more "cheap" or economical, but it is NOT God's best for a FT minister. Dr. Murdock cannot waste precious time in ticket lines, in security lines, and the perpetual wait associated with commercial air flight.

By wisely investing in the proper resources, i.e. jets, Dr. Murdock saves time and money, and other resources, and can minister more efficiently and effectively. This is so he can "establish God's covenant," which we both agree is paramount.

Dr. Murdock DOES use wisdom --- he's not a hypocrit, at all, in the slightest. He does not operate at all from his lusts, stupidity, and/or bad taste. He is not a con artist, as you suggest, either.

Establishing God's covenant, by the way, deals a lot more than just winning people and the lost. It also has to do with blessing others and extending God's kingdom.

As to Dr. Murdock's church, "The Wisdom Center," it was not started bcause of the IRS, etc. Rather, Dr. Murdock began the church because he was commanded by God to do so. So far as The Wisdom Center lacking ministry, many people go there and are edified, so why question that???

Default it is about that time of year

it is about that time of year again.
an honorary doctorite is a fake, all it is good for is toilet tissue.you dont see bill cosby calling himself Dr.Bill Cosby and yes he has an honorary doctorite also.

and what is wrong with waiting in line for your flight.I have had to wait in line also, it gives you a chance to see and speak to people on your flight not to mention time to speak to them about Christ and maybe leed a lost soul to God.
but then again if you are like creflo dollar (i wont call him Dr. either) you dont want to spend time with the riff raff as he calls them in airports. ( riff raff to him , homeless people, employees of the airport, travelers, but most of all Gods children to us true Christians.)

Also what is wrong with being asked to the side for an electronic scan for security, i am hispanic and every time i get i get on a plane i am scanned or my luggage scanned again and again yet i still didnt feel like punching the security officer in the face like robbie once said he wanted to do , all cause security was tight and robbie knows about security.

when murdock says God just told him to tell you to give $1000.00 or your last $58.00 for your financial harvest, dont do it he and rob will be eating steak and you will barely have enough for a can of tuna with no bread.
Your harvest is not by giving them your last dollar. you want a harvest give that last dollar to a shelter or a homeless person and read your bible and your harvest will appear and not in 58 days like murdock says

    Default The Other side

I've been aware of this forum about family harvest for about the past 2 years. Ive read pretty much all the posts.

Ive been attending FHC since I got saved in the sixth grade. I started there when it was still MCC.

I doubt that any of you would know me. My name is Justin Bielefeld. Im now posting my response to all of you. My experience at FHC has been quite the opposite of any of yours.

I first came to Christ when I was in sixth grade. My family was torn completely apart. I was being held back in school, and just about everything in my life was being destroyed. My father had always taught me to pray before I went to sleep. I dont know why , but as a kid it always stuck with me. I dilligently prayed every nigh. I didnt know God then.

It wasent till one night near end of the school year that I ened up crying out to God. The only words I could think of saying was "save me". They were the only words I could say , and I eventually fell asleep saying them over and over again.

It wasent until a month later that we were invited to MCC. Thats when I truly felt Gods presence for the first time.

Since then; I have attended there until recently for reasons I will explain.

Im 22 now. With my own mind and feelings I tell you this. Not one thing I have ever learned from Pastor Robb has ever harmed me or has made me make a bad decision. Every time I went I was built stronger.

I dont care what that man does with his money. For the most part I dont care. From being there from the time I have. I have been greatly blessed . My life has done nothing but produce. There were times when I was bitter and angry at people there. That however was my problem not theirs.

To tell Pastor Robb what to do with his money , would mean I have the right to tell everybody what to do with there money. Heck, let me tell Bill Gates what to do with his money. As far as Im concerned. God made me responsible for myself , and the stewardship of my own money. I have enough problems taking care of my own; Without having to worry about Pastor Robb.

Like you guys always say, God will handle him. Your right , he will. If Pasor Robb's not using money the way God desires . He will deal with him. So why must you try to do Gods job. Personally I know I have to take care of my own financess first.

I say all this because of what Pastor Robb has sown into my life. Do I know the man personally . No . Ive only shook the mans hand once.

What Pastor Robb has sown into me with Gods word has strengthend me beyond my own comprehension.

The outcome of my life thus far has been awesome. Because I listened to the word that God spoke through Pastor Robb.

The evidence of my life should be enough to show what God has done for me through FHC.

I currently have 2 active non-profit Christian Martial Art schools , with a 3rd on its way. In these programs , Our soul effort to to preach the Gospel, nothing else. Thus far they all have been producing.

I am also working with other ministries helping them to grow and become stronger.

As I mentioned earlier I am no longer attending FHC. Reasons being it was time to put my faith to work.

Everytime I went to church I was fed so well for so long. It seems like that was all I was doing was being fed. And I didnt feel led to any praticular ministry there either. I had the tools. I just had nowhere to use them. So after a long time of prayer in asking God to do as he wished. I was led to another church . That despretely needed everything that was taught to me by Pastor Robb. I didnt leave out of anger, or offense. I left because I was needed somewhere else.

I post this only to show that not everyones experience at FHC is evil. This is the other side of the story. This is what good comes from FHC.

I dont know what happened to the rest of you. I however was saved there. I was built strong there. Stronger then anywhere else Ive might have been. Because of that; I am winning people for Christ . What Ive learned is helping others to walk stronger in God.

So anyone who happens to wander by this forum and see this. Understand that just because a samll group of people have a problem dosent mean that FHC is an evil place. Instaed go investigate the people who have been blessed by that church. I gurantee the amount of people who succeed compared to those who left bitterly , is far greater then what it would appear to be here.

    Thats my story.
