The Waco events
I post on other boards in this site, saw this forum, had to post.
That raid on Waco, while justified, was just plain bungled. Had it been local or even state law enforcement handling it, it probably would have gone off without a hitch, and with even less loss of life, and it would be a mere byline in the newspaper. Bring in the FBI and the ATF, however, and not only is there a loss of life, but they turn it into a media event (just like they do with so many of their ops). And was this just a matter of serving a search warrant, or was this a paramilitary raid?
I have to ask, how was the raid on the Branch Davidians in any way "justified"?
It was a bunch of Government supplied Rambo-wannabes against a group of scared and deceived/brainwashed people huddled in a wooden house. And our tax dollars paid for it!

The only thing good that did come of it, is perhaps the Government now realizes that they can not go in and "raid" these groups, and that if they intend to try to "rescue" people from these groups, they must play it out until the end and make sure the idea of an armed assault never enters the plan.
All Waco did for me, was show me how stupid and careless the people who work in the government actually are.

The women and children were captives to a twisted man. They did not deserve to die. No effort was made to save them. When the smoke cleared the ATF and FBI bulldozed the whole site before anyone could properly investigate.
